"Steam is not responding"

I get this problem everytime I try to load Bad Company 2 and I have to restart Steam.

Well consider yourself lucky. I just switched over my internet provider so i get 130gb a month dload cap (i live in australia...... enough said) anyway so i thought i might just install my games. 9/10 games i try to install it says steam servers are to busy to handle the request. I have done all the trouble shooting on steam support and it still does it.... grrrrr

No it's not that. It starts to get white and then it says Steam is not responding. But thanks for the help.

I fixed it. New problem. I play with medium quality the screen flashes like a bitch. if I play on low EVERYTHING is much better except the blocky ass water.
