Causing destruction with fire nets you higher building damage then your standard kick-it-all-down methods. However, you earn less fuel. * Some performance tweaks. Just some test stuff for now. Particularly, if anybody notices anything peculiar regards the blood splats, let us know please. * Fixed some issues with menu buttons * Level order has been switched round on the level select screen If you have version 0.030+ installed, you can update the game to the latest version by using the in-game patcher.

What is Wildfire Worlds?
Watch a cute paper toy society go about its daily business! See the inhabitants scuttle around doing people stuff! Now chuck a large spanner in there and cause chaos. Inspired by the oppression and austerity driven riots throughout the world, Dot Product gives you a near endless supply of angry disgruntled lunatics, and allows you to have a go at bringing down the status quo. Inspire/infect the population with your riotous ideas and keep the revolution going. Of course, the state will not take kindly to you smashing the place up. The Police will come after you with big sticks and lots of grunting. Engineers will fix up all your wonderful damage. Medics will un-inspire those converted to your cause, turning them back into brainless sheeple. Annoying fire-fighters putting out the pretty flames. Dot Products has plans for many more! And when the landscape is littered with charred ruins, what then? Watch plants grow and reclaim the ruins. Animals thrive in the wake of your destruction and the circle of life continues. Eventually (after a bit of lunch) a new thriving environment will be born and you can fuck that up as well. Dot Product doesn't believe in “Game Over”. It’s never over. It just keeps on giving. Lovingly hand crafted and made from recycled paper, cheap imported plastics and unstable batteries, Wildfire Worlds allows you to fold against the dotted lines and burn it all down.
How does it play?
Controlling your little lunatics couldn't be simpler. Simply select and move using your mouse. Touch other people to infect them. Heavy strategy and tactics are not the name of the game. Juvenile fun and gratuitous destruction are. Dot Products wants their little town environment to be like a little pet, that you can poke, torment and laugh at. Their thoughts are not with making dozens of increasingly difficult levels, but making few environments that are as deep, dynamic and reactive as possible. On the surface, it may look very simple, but they have implemented overlaying systems that affect each other, with many more to come.
Sounds neat! When does it release?
They are currently aiming for a release date for the end of 2013 (I think), but the alpha is available now, for a minimum price of $15.
What does the alpha currently feature?
Currently, the alpha has a slice of paper craft London it's using as the play ground. Existing features in the Alpha include:
*Fire! There has been made inroads into having a nice fire system. Fire spreads around the city. Also introduced are petrol stations to re-supply your lunatics with fire juice. *Full fire service. These guys have their stations and will come out in their turbo charged fire trucks and seriously mess with your pretty flame stuff. *Full day to night cycle. Bright days. Dark nights. The town has its typical routine. Morning/Evening rush hour. Lunch time coffee in the park. People working. Playing. l. *Police. Watch out for coppers! They don’t like you at all. Commit any crimes and a police van will be screeching up in no time! *Engineers. Are at their happiest fixing up the town, which it totally not helpful. *Power. We have power stations and sub-stations. Take them out and the night time plunges into darkness! Darkness is a riots best friend. *Various control options. The ability to control your mob directly or plot out paths.

What do they plan to add?

*More levels! With all the recent addition, they feel it’s time to construct some more levels to showcase the features a bit more. *Gamification! They will be adding scoring of many elements. Building damage. Deaths. Fire damage. Carbon footprint. Speed. With scores comes leaderboards. Let's see who the real riot-masters are! *Pubs. What would London be without some Pubs, eh? Pick your time of attack wisely. The London Pub can sometimes contain fearsome beasts. *Time to rebuild. They are really keen to get the “cycle of life” thing going on. They want the environment to start growing back after it’s become nothing but forest and ruins. A new, improved city will arise from the ashes with tougher police and better trained engineers. How many eras can you ruin before you finally get stopped? *New themes. We don’t just want to ruin London. They will spare no expense bringing you a myriad of totally unconnected locale. Next up is 1930′s Chicago! *More Wild Beasties! We want more animals. Real, mythical and extinct. After all, how can we get the cycle of life going, without dinosaurs, right? Because without dinosaurs shitting everywhere we would have no people. Makes sense right? Don’t worry, it will soon enough!

Alright, I'm interested. How do I buy this?
There are various tiers you can buy at through Paypal (and only Paypal currently), akin to Kickstarter's purchase with side specialties. Looks beautiful.
Saw an alpha video and thought it looked pretty good, shame I spent all the money I had saved up on the Stonehearth kickstarter.
Some news from the devs after 2-3 months since the last update/blog post
I'll be honest.... chicago kinda went off on a tangent. We started implementing districts. Each district to have its own "era" so to speak. It looked rather strange having chicago mixed together with other eras so we decided to slightly modify the assets to look more like older versions of the buildings in the game right now. What we hope to reveal as soon as we can, is a large city with 6 to 8 districts. Each with its own power and services. Engineers will upgrade buildings to newer versions = better quality. Better quality buildings = better people capabilities. Aside from that, we've been getting together anew playable demo which we hope will be playable in a browser, which'll be cool! Sorry its been so quiet. We are still very much working hard at it. We'll keep you posted.
