'Man vs. Wild' Star Gives Video Game Survival Tips For 'Mario,' 'Half-Life,' 'DOOM' - Games

Les Stroud is way better.

Entertaining, you'd think he would know a little bit about games, great show though. I enjoy Survivorman and Man vs. Wild. Les Stroud is a little easier to follow since he shows how a normal human can survive, Bear Grylls shows how a damn super hero survives.

Dual Survival is by far the beat survival show on TV. But Bear doesn't seem too cool. Fakes his show and doesn't know about vidya games.

Bear Grylls doesn't "fake" his show. I think it's pretty obvious he has people there. He is showing tips and tricks to survival, not how he is surviving right that moment. On the other hand Les Stroud is 100% alone. He is showing the entire survival process for that specific situation. As for the video, I thought it was pretty funny.

Les Stroud is better at survival but I still hold Bear Grylls in high regard because he's tough and because he's british. Bear may have "faked" a few situations to help convey his survival tips, but I don't doubt that he would do fine if he did really have to survive in the wild.

I like Les better, simply because not everyone is some British commando jumping out of helicopters and swimming up waterfalls. What Les does is not outside of reason for the average person (as long as they have the insight and knowledge).

Bear Gryll's is faked. He sleeps in cabins and shit and takes unnessecary risks. Like one episode he climbs up a cliff wall, and then the camera crew with all their camera equipment is right behind him we he comes up - that's called bullshit. His "tips and tricks on survival" will likely end up with you dead, flinging across trees and shit.

His camera crew never just "Floats up" They sometimes give the camera to him, other times the camera man climbs with him.
