arma 2 british forces DLC help

I'v got Arma 2 oa from play.com and I'v installed it onto my pc and I'v added it to steam and now im trying to buy the new DLC for arma 2oa but it comes up with an message saying 'you havn't purchased the game on steam' any help? and if not any links to buying it online

So you bought the retail version of the game? Steam DLC does not work with retail games, the game has to be bought through Steam for it to work. You can buy the DLC through [URL="http://www.sprocketidea.com/joomla/"]Sprocket[/URL] if you have the retail version.

There's some sites that let you buy the DLC that will work with a retail version of the game but I forgot them, sorry.
