I want to know what was the best russian campaign of Call of Duty ?
[*****] Call of Duty 1: For me this campaign was the 2º best, from beginning to end this campaign is very interesting and difficult. The part of the Volga River is very good, to me this is the battle that the player
fought with the biggest number of allies on his side, this means
that the battles were huge from the beginning to the end.

[****] Call of Duty 2: For me this game is fantastic, but for
me the Russian campaign in this game is just a bit of a great game.
The game only gets expanded in the European campaign, for me that was the most satisfied campaign in CoD2. But the Russian campaign is not bad because I've seen worst, but it´s good and interesting, and difficult some times!

[*****] Call of Duty: World at War: difficult and very, very good, this
campaign was the one that made the game explode literally, by the way the campaign is very difficult, the graphics help a lot, and violence gives the feel of how the battles were very violent!
For me the best Russian Campaign of these three!

So for you wat is the best Russian Campaign in those 3 games ?
Taking over Berlin in CoD: WaW.
Waw.
World At War's campaign felt more indepth.
No Russian. :smug:
The first Call of Duty's Russian campaign will forever be my favorite. I loved that level with the Battle of Stalingrad and the Death Runs.. Stuka's ripping the ground apart, MG42's blaring, explosions everywhere, meanwhile one out of 5 soldiers were given a weapon :v:

That part was just great, you can´t do nothing, you only need to survive, and it´s very hard.
I seem to remember the beginning level from Call of duty: Finest hour on the PS2.
The whole crossing the river in the little boat then getting given some rifle ammo without the rifle to KILL DA FACIST PEEGS.

Call of Duty Finest Hour is Call of Duty 1 for PS2 but with different missions. That first mission is like the mission in volga in CoD1, in Finest Hour is just a different soldier in different side of the mission (map), the scene is the same.
If I had to choose one I would say World at War.

Gah nevermind then, I've still never been able to get my hands on a copy of COD 1 and £15 for it off steam is too much.

The guns arnt here
WHAT?!
THE GUNS ARNT HERE!
They must have moved them!!
The battle of Stalingrad in the first game was always my favorite. The intro sequence was always thrilling.

Playing that bit on veteran difficulty, every time you die the checkpoint is just before that bit, I got so fucking sick of him saying that.
WaW. The ending was just amazing.
Training.
THROW THESE POTATOES AT THE HOUSE.
which one had the guy in the boat yelling
"do not count days. do not count miles. count only the number of germans you have killed."?

Finest Hour if I remember correctly.
God that quote was so fucking epic.
The first one, like when you're on the boat and get to invade... Stalingrad is it? That mission was epic when I first played it!

Russian soldier: [during weapons training] Why are we using potatoes instead of real grenades?
Commissar: Because grenades are valuable, soldier! In fact, I would say that they are much more valuable than you!
This is an memorable quote!
I liked the one in CoD2. If only for the part where the Germans charge you, then after you kill them all the Russians counter charge. Felt really cool. Also crawling around in the tubes, bullets perforating the tubes all around you.
I really love those WWII game levels where you hold your position against a ton of charging enemy troops. Those are always epic, especially with epic music in the background playing to boost up your adrenaline. Feels good to win afterwards; like you've accomplished something.
No Russian isn't relly a russian mission as it means, in context, Rember, we are not russian.
Well they are Russian. They just don't want anybody to know they are.
Hum....that´s modern warfare 2 and that mission is on an airfield, so......what that means with this thread?

There were a few in CoD2 if I remember, for example that british one in the desert, where you had to go around north, west and east I think it was, good one!
I fixed some error´s on the first post, and i put an new image!

I always threw potatoes at the commisar while he was talking.
And the prisoner.
imo world at war has some of the most well designed levels in the series but suffers from massive ammounts of grenades being hurled at you while trying to admire the scenery
I liked the beginning level of the CoD1 russian campaign, but I hated how small the Reichstag level was compared to WaW.
CoD2 may have only covered Stalingrad (as far as I remember) but they presented that nicely
all in all, i prefer WaW

That always irked me. Why do they think a great deal of factories were moved to Siberia? To dick around and making toy trains? No, to churn out rifles, gun, and tanks like a son of a bitch. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense that not everyone has a rifle.
Unless that was a penal battalion, which, looking back on it, seems very likely.
EDIT: IMO, Call of Duty 2's was the best. I don't know why, I just always liked it. World at War would have been good except for one thing: THE RUSSIANS OUTNUMBERED THE GERMANS MORE THAN 4 TO 1 AT THE END OF THE WAR. Jesus Christ, why is approximately a platoon of Russian troops attempting to take the Reichstag? Why is only a company of Volksturm/Waffen-SS defending it?
