Looks like Valve's work. Discuss?
[editline]09:24PM[/editline]
Valve was trying to surprise us by making the area around Borealis all jungle like, and warm. I would expect that from them.
video posted today, idiots rating late
gj
I thought the Borealis was in the Arctic or some shit?
Read my edit. Maybe something is radiating from it that makes everything warm and humid. Something unexpected.
looks suspiciously like cryengine 2 but i dunno

Combine fucked shit up i believe.
That's not Source.
*Artwork
that artwork conflicts with the current released concept art
it's probably not legit
I dunno about this. The Borealis was trapped in ice when we saw the data packet from Judith. So unless the Combine engaged in a massive ice-melting operation, i'd say this is just a Photoshop image with a ship in the background.
It does look like the Cryengine... but It's not. There are many decals and props in there and the water has a new material that is not Cryengine.
Oh yeah, and this poison zombie dude is legit. He went to gamescom 2010 and saw portal 2 soooo.
Doubt it's legit. But there's so little information about Ep3 that I want to hope :saddowns:
Maybe the ship teleports?
Posted on YouTube? I'm gonna go with no
Got my hopes up...
Even if that's fake, I think source engine is now capable of that sort of graphics
OP is gullible. There isn't a single thing in this image that hints towards the Half-Life series.
late-edit: Apparently I have never paid attention to the Combine spray in Half-Life 2, rating myself bad reading for bad observation. :v:
Other than he was at the Valve Booth the whole time at Gamescom, watched the Portal 2 Presentation live, and got other cool Valve swag?

Except the combine poster.
Was it seriously necessary to create a minute long silent video to showcase one image? And if it was official wouldn't it be pasted all over the internet by now?

It's possible he leaked it
It's possible he leaked it
He has a tendency to do that yes.
Other than he was at the Valve Booth the whole time at Gamescom, watched the Portal 2 Presentation live, and got other cool Valve swag?
Who?
Seriously, is this PrisonZombie21337 somebody higher up? How does going to Gamescon 2010 make this legit?
He also has leaked other shit, check his channel.

There was also shit that Valve told him not to tell ANYBODY. But he did, and this is probably it.
Comments disabled usually means its a fake.
Although, the graffiti there is of the HL2 kind. Could easily be photoshopped though.
So you still have it in your head that Valve would buy another engine JUST for a couple of artwork? Really?
did i ever imply that
it could be source or maybe someone drew it
There was also shit that Valve told him not to tell ANYBODY.
Reiterating that OP is gullible. I prefer to remain skeptical until solid evidence is provided. Cut it out with this "BUT HE WAS TOTALLY TOLD ABOUT THIS" nonsense, this is just a pretty picture on YouTube with Half-Life in the title — It doesn't actually mean that it's true. Believers are boxes.
That's like a year old, and it's fan art.
If you know where the source material originated from, please link it. I personally just want to see Meatpuppet try to convince us otherwise.
This is not Episode 3 artwork.
all that junk in the water besides the yellow barrel is from Half Life 2.
