I always loved prison movies and shows but there just aren't enough good prison games, any ideas?
That first Riddick game was pretty good, dunno if that's exactly what you're looking for though.

Sorry I should have been more specific, possibly an rpg/puzzle game. By puzzle I mean escaping prison, and rpg like living in it.
The lack of prison based games may be based on how successful games about prison have been.
For example:
Prison Tycoon 4 (it is a mystery to everyone how and why there are four of these)
Prison Break: The Conspiracy (except is less breaking out as trying to blend in).
Plus when you think about it, due to the limit in places the player can go, a game set in prison would be likely to get boring and/or repetative fast.
Hard Time.
I think the only game I ever played that was close to that was probably POW on the PS2. You had to follow daily routine but also try to find times to sneak around (usually at night) completing tasks to help you escape.
The game was alrite but a pain in the ass sometimes, not sure if it's available for PC.

I always wanted to try that game, but never actually got it. It was for PC too.
Don't drop the soap is fun until you lose.
Smear the Queer can be fun if they run slow
The gang fights are ok.

OHHH you meant for the PC
Some garrys-mod gamemodes come pretty closely to following the daily routine while trying to escape.
Actually, I haven`t seen any prison games that were more fun to play.
POW is probably the best you're gonna get.

Prisoner of War as Dr.Nick said.
Xbox and Ps2, escaping Nazi PoW camps and eventually going to Colditz and escaping aswell.
There was a prison mission in Splinter Cell Double Agent, Kane and Lynch and Mafia 2(That one was not fun though)

Wasn't one of the Manhunts in a prison?

look it up on youtube
canceled.
I kinda said it as a joke, because the video had me laughing out loud for five minutes
Not many rape simulators out there.
I know one of you guys knows this game. It was Escape From Alcatraz or something. I haven't been able to find it.
hard time is one of the greatest prison games if not greatest games ever.
PoW was an incredibly fun game. Not sure if its on PC.
Woah big avatar
Also, as others have said, PoW is your best bet OP
Mafia 2 has a freakin awesome prison chapter.
But it's only 1 chapter though.
The Great Escape.

Riddick is not entirely without these elements though it does get more action orientated towards the end
Prisoner of War is pretty decent and definitely your best bet.
Hard time was hilariously bad.

Chronicles Of Riddick is like that
Prisoner of War is the best one I've seen.
Played it the other day coincidentally.
