Blockland - That game where you build stuff

Please note this is not a rip off of minecraft, Blockland came first, Minecraft is not a ripoff of Blockland, they are very different

Blockland is a sandbox game where a player builds with bricks, "it's like playing legos over the internet"

Everything is aligned to a grid, but when you "fake kill" a brick, client side brick physics activate for some sexy results:

This game takes time and practice, just like any other game.

I have 2000+ hours logged on this game and I'm not even slightly bored.

Features a cool feature called "wrench events" in which you can make bricks do special things(spawn projectiles, change color, epicly explode, etc)

There are thousands of Add-ons that players can download, however there is an addon that is technically the Wiremod of Blockland called VCE(there are weapon, client side, server side, vehicles, endless.)

I wish the physics didn't disappear in 10 seconds. I want to build a building then blow it up and walk in the rubble. With the current physics you cannot. The blocks disappear within seconds.

A Blockland thread on Facepunch? Awesome. I'm a veteran player to the game. You see, when you buy the game you are given a unique ID number that is viewable in the player list. We're at around ID 25000 right now (not sure about this) and my ID is 1726. It's more of an annoyance though. People kiss my feet sometimes and they will never shut up.

Anyways, Blockland is probably one of the best games I have ever played. I bought around 06 or 07 and I played the game constantly up 'till very recently. Unfortunately the mods aren't as high quality anymore. (Yes there are fancy shmancy mods out there. Loads of 'em.)

So yeah. It's worth every bloody penny of the 20$

I bought this the other day, just because I liked it, and also there is a "Free" version, but harder to use and no tutorial, called "The Orange Block" but it is just the old version of this game before they decided to make it pay to play, but has been kept "Up to date" by a dedicated Comunity.

The people who develop The Orange Block are complete idiots; they believe that people who stopped playing the old version in favor of the retail version "abandoned" the game, so they're trying to make it better than retail, only to completely fall flat on their face. There was also some sort of dispute about the developers of TBM, but it is far better in my opinion than The Orange Block. RTB is the best mod, but their older versions of it are no longer available, meaning everything they develop is made for the retail game.

If you want to play the pre-retail game, your best bet is to either play "Blockland Mods" (BLM for short) or just plain "Blockland v0002."

Limitation of 150 bricks and no multiplayer

There is away around the 150 bricks thing but that's for cheapskates

And people, you really can't compare this to minecraft, I own both and they are way too different for any major comparison other than the fact they're sandboxes.
