which one should I buy today? I've heard red dead is really good and I know la noire is supposed to be good but I'm not sure which one to get. I'm not getting both, today at least.

LA Noire isn't out today. Get Red Dead today, LA Noire when it comes out.
Different games. RDR is certainly one of the best games with the best story I've ever played. LA Noire isn't by Rockstar itself, but the Guardian gave it 5 stars, I think.
Red Dead if you like westerns,
L.A. Noir if you like detective/cop stories.
oh, for some reason I thought it came out yesterday.
I guess I'll get red dead today and la noire in a few weeks.
