The Sam & Max series revolves around two main protagonists, as the title says, Sam and Max, who are Freelance Police Officers. There are many other characters in the series however.

Sam is a brown six-foot tall talking dog that wears either a grey or blue with a color matching fedora. The only thing keeping him from taking his job too seriously is his partner and friend Max. Usually armed with a .44 revolver.

Max is a white three-foot rabbit who is known for his insanity and enjoyment of generic violence, who also prefers to use the aggressive tactic of getting answers. Usually armed with a Luger pistol.
Sam & Max often joke about typical American pop culture and were created by Steve Purcell, who later created a comic book series for the characters. Since then, the guys have been involved with a graphic adventure of a video game created by LucasArts, a telivision series by Fox, and a series of episodic games by Telltale.

The most recent season of their video game adventure is Season 3: The Devil's Playhouse. Which is about Max obtaining physic powers and using them to help save the world from evil alien gorillas, a mad child Pharoah, and insane creatures from another dimension. The episodes are named (in order): The Penal Zone, The Tomb of Sammun-Mak, They Stole Max's Brain!, Beyond the Alley of the Dolls, and The City that Dares Not Sleep. All being a part of one huge story adventure.
Those are only the recent games however, Sam & Max have a history with Telltale. A good successful 3 seasons of nonstop action and strategy.

On April 15, 2010, video game developer Valve announced that anyone who purchased The Devil's Playhouse through Steam would obtain in-game special items in the game Team Fortress 2. In return, Telltale Games added an easter egg in the latest released episode Beyond the Alley of Dolls that referenced Team Fortress 2.

Since most people are playing the Devil's Playhouse these days, feel more than free to ask for help in any of the games. I would suggest using spoiler tags, however.
I love you, Keychain. It's about time someone made this.
This is a pretty weak megathread, needs more info of the actual games.

Do you know how many games there are? I'll try, but I won't be able to provide much. Telltale has official walkthroughs on their site. I'll give those a mention.
I know, but at least write a short synopsis for each of the seasons.
No need to go into detail for every single episode.
Just make quick mention of every season + S&M Hit the road.
Obligatory Banang video !

I recently went through and watched all of the episodes of the cartoon. It's really funny.
Added a clickable list of all games, I'll add some descriptions in a moment.
Does anyone know where I can find the music that was in the penal zone trailer?
-snip- nevermind, got it. Thanks anyway, Keychain.
Could someone help me with the end of 304.
[sp]I just got to where I need to climb to the top of the Statue. I went through both lines and got slapped up but there way nothing different. On the Telltale forums, they said that Sam dances differently by the music or something, but I have not noticed a difference. Any help? [/sp]
[sp]You need to have the guy in Paperweite's stomach insult the doll, so that he will be distracted trying to shoot him out of anger. While this is going on, have Sam change the music notes. The name of the song will determine what changes in the Statue's look (Flaming Crown, etc), and also will determine whether the lines will work differently.[/sp]
[sp]I don't remember exactly, but there's a certain order you have to do it. One will change the book thing in the Statue's hand, then you have to make Max get slapped up there by a row of Sams.[/sp]
One thing I think they're gonna do is make all the toys you used in season 3 (besides Astral Projection) as real life props you can buy on a hidden part of their site. So far all the page says is "The future is coming" and a picture of Bob's Toys from Episode 1.
I bet the OP cuts the cucumber lengthwise!
Ohohohoho!
ffff you didn't include Sam and Max Hit the Road.

Can't wait for 305! I miss Papierwaite already.
Sam's awesome
I miss Sam and Max's office.
The new games are no where near as good as the original.
Anybody noticed that if you click ??? when you are on the microphone in 304, that the [sp]Sam Clones[/sp] do something that is either very similar, or exactly the same as the TF2 Halloween Taunt?
And yes, I do know it is the Thriller dance, but it looks more like the TF2 one.

Yea, that was supposed to be another TF2 reference.

Also, I demand a high-resolution picture of Max at the end of episode 4 during the finale battle (like the picture that was floating in the credits)
Added Hit the Road respectively to OP. Since you can't buy it on Steam I just linked to it on Ebay.
I miss bosco

I'm going to need to fix my PC to play 304. Is 304 any good?

Honestly, my favorite episode from the season so far has to be 4.
304 is great. But I think my favorite was The Tomb Of Sammun-Mak. Don't know why, Sammuth and Maximus were just cool I guess.

I might even be as bold to say it's my favorite EP so far. At least it's damn near close.
