We are thinking hard about the next Rollercoaster Tycoon game on PC. We have a question for you, our loyal fanbase. How ready are you for the next Rollercoaster Tycoon? In the years since the last version, what are the key features you’ve dreamed about for the next release? What would make you rush out, buy it, and keep playing it? We’d like to know!
This means that RCT4 might still be alive!!!

Meh, 3 wasn't that great. They should go back to the style of the old ones.

That good sir, is more than just exciting.
I would love non cartoony 3D graphics.
I hope they don't turn it into a casual fest.

My god I cannot wait.

How can you turn a tycoon management sim into a casual game?
Fuck yeah time to build a death-trap
Make a 100% more fun version of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 that is almost the same just with added awesomeness. This will fix everything. RCT and RCT2 were 2 of the best games I've ever played because of the simple, yet fun style of playing.
I don't like it in 3d, prefer the old style

I liked the isometric versions better too.
If they did 3d properly, it could look nice.
Make it 3D, but keep the isometric style?
Perfect, that's what I was thinking.
I remember getting #2 in a cereal box :downs:
They need to make the actual gameplay isometric like RCT and RCT2, but offer the player the ability to break away from the gameplay and look around with a 3D camera.
Also go back to the classic style of landscaping cause RCT3's landscaping system was a bitch.
I prefer the 1 & 2 style. Replicate that, but in lovely HD. Cel shading maybe?
Also go back to the classic style of landscaping cause RCT3's landscaping system was a bitch.
And they need to make it so we're able to build underground AT LAUNCH, not in a fucking expansion.
3D but no more grid system.
So you can drag paths out and make tiny little bends and tweaks to coasters. tweaks to the banking too, rahter than just having set angles.
The funny thing is that most people are requesting a mechanic that actually fixes the problem instead of walking to a box in the station and using a wrench on it.

This. You get the best of both worlds then. isometric for the RCT core fans, and 3d to make it more accesable for newcomers/RTC3 fans.
For the graphical style, what about something like hospital tycoon:

or evil genius:

Theme Park World managed to mix the two quite well, but I can't remember how.
I loved RCT3, my cousin "borrowed" it and never gave it back though.
Oh fuck yeah
I hope they remove the roller coasters, they didn't add anything to the other games.
2D Graphics are kickass.
3D Isometric with aesthetically realistic world with nice lighting and good detail and affects but have a stylized look for the characters is what I think may work for the visuals
I think lighting would be nice but, if they do the Day/Night lighting the same as RCT3 they'd need to make night a little brighter cause it got pretty hard to see at times

What?
They didn't all they added was roller coasters
Lets hope it's not cartoony like numero 3.
They didn't all they added was roller coasters
Isn't that why it's called roller coaster tycoon?, I know it's got other rides, but that's the main feature.
