Minecraft is the shittest game ever. - Games

[B][I][U]IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, THEN DON'T POST![/U][/I][/B] Ok, I've been hearing a lot about this Minecraft game so I decided to give it a go. I made an account went onto singleplayer and started to make some stuff. I first noticed that the graphics were REALLY bad; I'm not one to complain about it and to expect all games to have L337 graphics, but these are worse than something from the PS1. What does the maker think we're running this game on? Windows 95? Anyway, I got quite bored after my underground house got flooded by some stupid underground water thing so I went onto multiplayer. I logged onto some kind of Flatgrass thing and to my surprise there was no caves! I thought [I]Wow, this is great![/I] That's when I realized that I wasn't allowed to go down or go up more than five blocks without being a "Member". I asked about it and they told me that it costed five dollars to become a member. I am pretty sure it said that Minecraft classic is [B]FREE[/B]. I asked my friend about it and he said not to worry because there are other "fun" servers with custom maps, he linked me to a few. These were almost just as bad, YOU WERENT EVEN ALLOWED TO BUILD! How stupid do you have to get? What was the point! Then in my rage I found a hacked server that you could build more than five blocks up and down, I started building a house. Half way through it was looking pretty epic until some A*****E started to break my building, I tried to ignore him and remake what he broke but then he came back and did it again! I complained in chat and asked if there was any admin. There was an admin, unfortunately they said I wasn't allowed to swear, next thing I know "YOU ARE BANNED FROM THIS SERVER". I don't think the other guy even got in trouble because the server had the same amount of people on for about ten minutes. So yeah, that's why Minecraft sucks, why you'd want to pay for this game is stupid. It has bad admins, bad rules, lies about being free, bad maps, bad graphics, bad everything. FUCK MINECRAFT. Many servers have areas only guests can build, to stop griefers like the ones that destroyed your home. also the free singleplayer game isn't that good, its all bout the alpha version, which you have to pay for. Its a $13 java game made by one person, why are you expecting something better than you've ever seen before?

Most of FP plays /alpha/ and SMP, Classic is like the hellhole of minecraft on some servers. If you really want to play classic then just host your own server. Please don't call the whole game shitty if you never even touched the good parts, Sure you have to pay for them, but it is well worth it. A game is only as shitty as the servers you play on. Also, in classic, use a sponge to get rid of water flooding. Also, Notch made minecraft a blocky "shitty" looking game because he is trying to show the world that you don't need "SUP3R L33T GHX" for a game to be good, and that the gameplay is what makes a game great, not the graphics. In /alpha/ the game can be beutiful when you see a floating mountain with waterfalls coming down forming a pond in a valley that turns into a river. Gameplay > Graphics.
