King's Bounty The Legend is a fantasy saga, an exciting blend of role-playing adventure and tactical combat, stirring classic memories of the legendary King's Bounty game.

A hero (warrior, mage or paladin), and an army of his loyal companions in arms travel across a huge continent composed of dozens of linked locations. Setting kings upon the throne, overthrowing them, saving princesses from the claws of dragons, searching for pirates on the high seas, finding treasure chests, vanquishing villains who are attempting world domination… These are the everyday challenges the player – the Hero - will face in King’s Bounty The Legend.

Your character travels in real-time across land and water, underground, and across the skies searching for treasure, finding equipment, developing multiple skills and fulfilling the orders of kings to further his career. When fighting enemies, the game switches into Tactics mode. You can control your troops in the battle arena, use your spell book and summon powerful Spirits of Rage.

As the plot unveils, the player will come across exciting puzzles and mysteries, and make many difficult decisions. Will you make alliances with a powerful necromancer or steal from the Dwarven treasury Just never break the oath you gave to your King. He does not forget or forgive such sleights easily.

King's Bounty: Armored Princess is an adventure role-playing game in which you play the role of Princess Amelie as she embarks upon a quest to explore the previously uncharted world of Teana. She travels into the unknown in search of her missing mentor the legendary knight, Bill Gilbert, a warrior of wide renown and peerless reputation.

Take care, for Teana is a new world filled with unknown dangers! Armies of terrible creatures, terrifying monsters, huge bosses and the bloodthirsty race of the Lizardmen all stand in the Princess’s path. Adventure brings the constant threat of danger in its wake bringing the main character face to face with a host of formidable enemies with whom she must do battle if she is to succeed in her quest. As she grows in experience Amelie will develop new powers, skills and abilities to aid her along the way – even taking to the air, surmounting any obstacle in her path. Throughout her travels the Princess is accompanied by her faithful pet dragon who never leaves her side. This beast –still a young dragon – appears somewhat small and cute, yet is deceptively dangerous owing to its rapidly developing combat skills. Docile only in the gentle hands of the princess, in battle he will fiercely protect his mistress by all means available. At first he makes simple attacks and recovers treasures, but he will ultimately learn to enter a battle frenzy and even awaken the force of volcanoes.

Precious few will ultimately prove capable of overcoming all the dangers of this strange world and return safely home. However, the task grows ever more urgent: a huge army of demons is currently besieging the native capital, trapping all the good citizens inside. It is only a matter of time before the king and all his subjects are overcome. Go forth bravely, and remember: their lives are in your hands!

Unfortunately, the sly merchant did not warn the young man that this arena is located in the enigmatic Litani world and he is expected to fight nightmarish creatures. Arthur will require all his skills to carefully choose his allies, equipment and troops to be able to defeat all eight monstrosities in the Thousand Emperors Arena.

From what I understand Amelie is supposed to be a gigantic cocktease, but not in the way to attract more people into buying the game.

My guess is that it's because the games don't take themselves serious very much, it's filled with jokes and silly things. :v:
