When i try to start a game:

Any way to fix, it keeps coming back
Restart steam
Every time i do i can run a game once before starting again
is there any more permanent fixes?
Delete Clientregistry.blob in the main steam directory. (for me its C:/Program Files/Steam, yours may differ slightly).
You'll have to log in again, but it fixes your problem.
