Roblox, or, how i learned to stop being modest and hate the damn game - Games

Okay so many of us know about roblox, now days it's pretty notorious for being complete shit that was overthrown by kids, but lets take a moment. Its 2005, all the players are mature, good games are being developed its an overall great game with a medium sized community. Now lets go to 2009, i personally don't know what the fuck happened but suddenly the game was overrun by littererly millions of kids, before this roblox was designed for everyone, but suddenly when they found out they can attract kids they started spouting shit like "Designed for kids" and got an "eTrust" seal of approval, the community is shit, the kids go crazy, they take control of shit. Bad games are everywhere, the forum is overthrown with 7 year olds and the community is horrendous, the kids either dont talk, or try to trash talk you. The money hungry bastards also introduced a membership option, and began making tons of money. Roblox used to be good, but it was ruined. They got greedy and now the game is a horrible shit hole.

Well I liked it, it was fun.. I didn't even care about the idiots.. I just played good levels.. But when the level list got filled with shit I left.

I was one of the first 100000 people, the game had a dickload of join number elitism.

Blockland is a much better game. Also, the Roblox forums are a fucking nightmare

This game is great. What you have to do is [b]PLAY WITH FRIENDS[/b]. Don't set foot in any public games, get some friends together and do some stuff.

This game is actually good, the community are shit. If you can find a good map, then you'll find good people because the little kids are gonna wanna play obby and race maps

The obstacle maps are basically hold jump and run against a wall until you go through it, or jumping on platforms in a straight line to get to go in the VIP room which is basically a room with a bunch of hats and chairs in it. I really liked the tower fighting maps, where you had two teams trying to destroy each other's tower from across a lake of lava, it was awesome.

That's usually what happens when companies get a sniff of money. I'm really hoping that Minecraft doesn't go that way. (although I don't think it will, Notch has always said that he'll be the only one developing it, and he loves us too much to wreck it in a stunt for money).

I hate ROBLOX, and love it too, if you can survive the hell of immaturity and skim through it, theres some pretty nice kids playing it, played it since i was a kid myself.

tried roblox, didn't like the community. I still play blockland from time to time though.

Once in a while I play GOOD games like some of those Survival Games. But now it's all obstacle courses and bullshit "be a _____" games.

I really hope that minecraft doesn't get overrun with kids, but it most likely won't happens because they will see the blockyness and it's graphics and they will think it's shit. For an alt for Roblox go with blockland or minecraft.

I played like 2 tycoon games on it cause those are actually kinda fun. Especially the one where you can design your blocks. But the kids just weren't worth any of the other games.

My young Brother kept playing this Non-stop for the last 2 years, I played it a while, then noticed it had a shit community and most of the games are lol who killed spongebob? so I left... I kept telly my brother "It's s ahsit game come try something else" he says "go away you don't know anything"... he also called TF2 Shit because it was an FPS, That was until he got Burnout paradise this summer, suddenly left Roblox, and started playing this game non-stop. I can't get him to try out any other games out of the 70 games of mine.
