Hellmoo: Fallout without the 'good guy' part! V.2 - Games

For example, you start out (after character generation, a confusing little bit where it's easy to die and make you have to start all over) you are completely naked, naugty bits flapping in the breeze. You can have sex, fap, practice necrophilia, etc. Sex and fapping are essential in the game, without doing one or both you'll end up getting frustrated and being useless in combat. But don't get me wrong, that's only one part of the depravity! There are also drugs, rock'n'roll, and ultraviolence! For example, in the beginning the only thing you're strong enough to kill are orphans. Rabid orphans. Ones that went mad after their parents died. Yeah. My main account is Nelissen. Also, I have some suggestions, try to get into a corporation as soon as possible, and train on orphans untill you can insta-kill them. After that you need to get some better gear, like a machete, and the High Density (HD) mutation, this makes you almost impervious for light blunt attacks. Also, [b]you can get the suit from the suit dispenser to be safe-ish from rape.[/b] Some more random tips: -Set your combat style to aggressive, this is how you can perform fatalities. -Do the *kill all rabid orphans* mission untill you have enough money for a machete. -Make fellow corp members help you getting HD. -[b]DO NOT FUCK ABOMINATIONS.[/b] -If you choose to be a girl, get protection, because the rest of the world is male. -Make sure your corp has a hobo killing contract. -Do [i]NOT[/i] enter the basement with the zombies if you don't have decent medical skill, or at least can use mort hypos, or have that immunity mutation I keep forgetting the name of. -The most important thing of all: [b][highlight]DO NOT WORSHIP GODS, THEY WILL LET YOU GIVE BIRTH TO DEAD KITTENS.[/highlight][/b] I wish I was joking. Fuck yes, I was about to make this thread about three different times before I found out I'm too lazy. For those of you who are just starting out look at these following links and their sub-links: [url]http://hellmoo.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page[/url] [url]http://hellmoo.org/wiki/index.php/Player_Index[/url] [url]http://hellmoo.org/wiki/index.php/Quickstart_Guide[/url] Also, some more useful tips that may or may have not been mentioned. - If you want to make money, ask around if any corps are hiring. Chances are, there are more than one noob corps that are hiring at any point in time. They will most likely have dog killing contracts, hobo killing contracts, and crackhead killing contracts, which are your three easiest targets after orphans. - Don't get too attached to stuff in-game. If you buy a ton of gear and items, you'd better expect to lose it a few times before you actually get some security from mobs and other players. At first, travel lightly, don't spend all of your money on useless stuff. Spend it on your desired weapon of choice, and grind that along with some other skills. Once you get confident, (Or just primarily), buy a cocoon. Cocoons will keep all of your stuff safe from other players in the spot you died until you open it or it's designated time runs out. - Make friends. Don't be a douch to every one you see just because it's Hell. Having powerful friends can help in the long run. For example, chances are, you're not going to be able to get a mut on your own right away. A friend or corpmate can escort you to it, and fight any baddies along the way. - Don't take griefing seriously at all. More experienced players are able to fuck you up whenever they feel needs be. If you get pushed down some stairs, have a good laugh and walk/clone away. Besides, it's always a good idea to die a few times to get the hang of things. Another good thing to do is to explore with little belongings. Just go somewhere, and set boundaries of where you can and can't get through, (Due to mobs or puzzles). It's a really great game, and although it is text-based, it is worth some time to try. My character's name is Killwhore, if anyone was wondering.

Adventure a lot, value your possessions but have fun. You will die, laugh at it because its funny. Everyones nice on hellmoo except random trolls. And remember to explore and explore and explore. And don't feed the gators. Learn the commands quickly. Shit...I have to go play again now, sucks you can't swim to ninja-land anymore. And don't forget to run to wheezer and sell your sperm for huge amounts of cash. And get fuck machine because it is so awesome growing lolwtfdicks as a female when men try to rape you.

Thinking about getting back into the game. Gonna do a restart on my character, so I can start from scratch. Just a few questions: Are hookers still not counted as people? Did they ever buff spears? And what starting skills would I want to take with fist?

Blah, I wish there was a way to delete a character, or at least reset the password. I forgot the password to mine, and you can only have one character per address. I've already made several addresses, all of them I've forgotten the password to and I tried the ones from the email, didn't work, it's really frustrating. Anyone have a solution?

Learning a skill costs the exp that it says on the 'st' command. Learning from another player is better (Ask on chatnet), because it doesn't cost anything except the EXP, and it also gives the teacher EXP. Learning from a NPC can help with higher level skills when players with the needed skill are unavailable, but it costs money equivalent to EXP cost. If you're low on EXP, try doing journals, achievements, and travel awards. If you can't fight well, then either you're a crafter, or you suck and need to reroll. If you can't fight well AND you're low on EXP, then you're a horrible crafter/player and should delete char 4ever and get a new one.

To do that, go to the CA and type "delete" then "yes". Then find some silly way to die, you'll go to heaven(when I went, God was surprisingly absent, he was there before). Also, depending on how long ago you started, they added a new part to character creation, it's where you get to choice how to spend some points(given for free) on levels in your abilities, such as cool, brawn, endurance, sense. :words: [editline]12:32PM[/editline] Thanks to some guy who eats corpses(Zombie mut maybe?), I got some studded leather armor and sold the clothes from hookers to buy a military fork. I got a head start infront of other low levels, for once. Now to grind for 500 for an apartment.
