Yeah, it's impossible to choice. Both of them are awesome. Well i suggest you to buy Dead Rising 2 first and then if you got enough money buy Civilization 5. And before you ask why i chose Dead Rising first: Because Co-op.
Both games are amazing (Although I've only played the demo of Civ 5). You're going to have to decide which genre you like better.
That's the problem. I want to nuke Ghandi, but smashing heads sounds fun too.
Uuuh... uuh... :ohdear:
I honestly can't say, they're both great games.
Like people said: it's all personal preference, if you have friends who have DR2 aswell you should get it for the co-op, then get Civ V later... unless you really need another addiction asap, in that case you should buy Civ V.

Pretty much this.
Save more money and try to get them both.
civ 5
Civ 5 eats too much time. I say if you're a student or something you should go with DR2 until you get a long break.
You'll get more play time out of Civ 5, but the co-op for DR2 is supposed to be good.
Civ 5 is a very long term game, and is good if you like strategy.
Dead Rising 2 is much more action-oriented, but has co-op and a dark sense of humour.
I personally would go for Dead Rising 2, but if I were you i'd buy Civ 5 now, and get DR2 later when it's down in price.
Isn't DR2 $40?
For PC. If I got it I would pay the extra $20 to get it for PS3 and not need to deal with Windows Live PC Matchmaking.
There is no matchmaking in DR2
Price:
Dead Rising 2
Replay:
Kind of the same.
Score (in general highest on gamesites)
Civilization 5
Multiplayer experience
Both are fun, but Civ5 will keep you in longer.
Graphics
I'm not sure. I guess both the same.
Silly fun
Dead Rising 2
Ok, recap:
DR2: 2 points
Civ5: 2 points
im glad i could be of service and hopefully i have helped you make up your mind which game is better
Ah, good. No matchmaking. Also, :/
Both

What? I'm not sure if I'm being stupid here, but yes, there is matchmaking.
You can join games in Terror Is Reality or play Co-op online by searching for available games.

I was meaning GFWL matchmaking.
I think I've come up with the best decision. If you have a friend getting DR2 then get that so you can play co-op with them, if not get Civ5 and get DR2 later.
Probably will get Civ5. Was going to play with someone, but she decided to put me on ignore for no reason.
Get fucking Civ 5.
God damn.
Well you really do need both, Civ 5 just eats too much time for me to consider it worth more to get than DR2.
If you are considering multiplayer a lot, get Civilization later, the multiplayer right now is quite clunky and you probably won't like it.
