Attention One and All! The team of Deathmatch Classic: Source is looking for a C++ coder to assist with our mod. Please contact myself or Triggs via Steam to apply for this wonderful and fulfilling job opportunity. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Deathmatchclassicsource Have a wonderful day! (Mods, if this is in the wrong place, please adjust it's location.) Edit: http://www.moddb.com/mods/deathmatch-classic-source2
What about HLDM: source? Isn't that basically the same thing?
What about HLDM: source? Isn't that basically the same thing?
HL:DM was more about Quake-ness.
HLDM and DMC are very different. One is an original deathmatch, while another is based off quake and took 3 months of coding.
What about HLDM: source? Isn't that basically the same thing?
Not Really. Completely seperate games that were years apart.
Steam group is bullshit. Nothing but you and a bunch of other twelve-year-old speaking in allcaps about shit. Post some actual content.
Enkh... The moderators are as far as I know, over the age of twelve. We recently were given premission to use some DMC materials from various artists and the mod is going along nicely. We plan on releasing it either Q3 or Q4 2010. Any additional questions should be directed towards me or Triggs. We can be contacted via e-mail or steam: Myself: Joshua@kargs.net Triggs: Patrinater@gmail.com Thank You.
So... you don't have any content to post, do you?
So... you don't have any content to post, do you?
Well, we have one of the coders from Black Mesa: Source working with us, several dedicated modelers and mappers, and even some sound design folks. Wow, this team has actually some enthusia- wait, all teams have that. I meant to say ACTUAL MEMBERS! Most mod teams start like this: A kid gets an idea, posts a huge thread about his mod but then has nothing but the boss in his team. Nobody helps him and the mod dies. Except this team has modellers and...mappers! Texturing ain't that hard i suppose, so i think you could find one fairly quickly. And all you really have to do is center all the HL2 weapons and there you have the >DMC. They had centered wepons if i remember right.
Indeed, Thanks for the support. I'm not the leader, thats Triggs job. I'm just PR / Hiring / Achievement Design. We're always looking for help, so if anybody has anything to offer, we'll take it. What's Deathmatch Classic: Source?
What's Deathmatch Classic: Source?
Good Question. It is a recreation of Deathmatch Classic in the Orange Box Source Engine.
Steam group is bullshit. Nothing but you and a bunch of other twelve-year-old speaking in allcaps about shit. Post some actual content.
Twelve year olds? Allcaps? Shit? You sir, are an asshole. As for REAL content. 4 Screenshots take from DM4 I just noticed an Unaligned texture that I shall fix now I know of the wierd lighting here and I am working on it. There's.... 2? textures I think that we're still waiting on aswell as the lava as we keep having trouble with animated textures. There. Is. Your. God. Damn. Content. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - TH89))

Holy shit content, you deserve a medal. But really? A BMS coder? That's not bad in fact it almost seems like it could be a part of- oh my god Anyways, what models are you going to use? Will they be custom or will they have something to do with Half-Life?
You. Thought. Wrong. Also We're fine on every front but Coding.
Sorry I wasn't trying to be mean. Anyways I don't care much, but I'll give a go at a custom map anyways or at least A custom map from deathmatch classic remapped into hl2

What's the point of this? If you want to play Quake, play Quake. If you want to play Quake with movement prediction, play NetQuake. If you want to play Quake with pretty graphics and movement prediction, use one of thr MANY open-source super-enhanced Quake engines out there, like DarkPlaces and EZQuake, which are actually a good deal more advanced than Source and already finished, unlike this thing. And we're all impressed by your ability to take the high-resolution textures, probably from one of the many hi-res Quake texture replacement packs, take the decompiled MAP of one of Quake's deathmatch maps, there's a shit ton of decompilers for Quake BSP out there, put new lights in, and call it your own. So much for "progress".

They can make it if they want also if i dont include the source in black mesa no one will know what im talking bout
^this basically Also I wasn't meaning to be rude if it came out like that Dom. [editline]05:40AM[/editline]
What's the point of this? If you want to play Quake, play Quake. I'm sure they'll be thrilled to know what you think. 2. Go make your own Game Recreation into the source engine and then tell me about 'Progress'. 3. Someones getting banned from the build. Guess who. There's obviously an audience for this, myself, I can't wait to see what these guys do. Obviously you get more satisfation from whining that giving any constructive criticism, so I would suggest everyone ignore what you've said. As I pointed out, I'm very much looking forward to playing it.
Thank you for your support. To everyone else I belive the rule 'If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all' applies. Unless it's constructive Criticism and not Blatant Flaming.
Sounds cool, I only played this for about 1 minute because I got it when I entered my Gunman Chronicles CD-key (This, being the original)
Sounds cool, I only played this for about 1 minute because I got it when I entered my Gunman Chronicles CD-key (This, being the original)
I have the case for that game, but the disk is gone. :saddowns:
I have the case for that game, but the disk is gone. :saddowns:
That sucks, Gunman is such an awesome game. (mod?) Too bad it isn't on steam.
I wonder why it's not on steam. It is incredibly Awesome.
I wonder why it's not on steam. It is incredibly Awesome.
I heard it is because the dev leader died or something. I also heard that valve and sierra didn't really care about it.
That hurt. That really hurt.
And another thing. I poured my heart and fucking soul into that map, and then you say that i did nothing but replace textures? You're an even bigger asshole than the other guy.
