The fuck?
If you thought Sega couldn't top Sonic Colors, then we were both dead wrong. Sonic Generations is the new Sonic game which aims to greatly satisfy the penises of both retro Sonic circle-jerkers and modern Sonic lovers. How? Well I'm sure you all remember Green Hill from Sonic Adventure 2. Remember how fucking cool that was? Ok, well imagine that on the Hedgehog engine, the same engine which powered Sonic Unleashed, and a fuckload more classic levels from the Genesis era, and the Dreamcast era. Yes, you fucking read that correctly.. Modern Sonic not doing it for you? Alright, guess what. You can play in both the classic side-scroller Genesis like gameplay, and the modern Unleashed-like gameplay, at your choice. Jesus fuck balls what. Sonic Colors' Wii exclusiveness pissed you off? Oh well then maybe you'll be happy to know that this game will be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo 3DS, and a rumored PC release.
Retro Sonic will not be voiced.
[release]Details, nigga
Plot
An unknown enemy causes the appearance of multiple "time holes", forcing Sonic and his friends back in time. As a result, Sonic must band together with his past self to defeat this enemy and fix the timestream.
Gameplay
The game features levels derived from 20 years of Sonic history, spreading across three eras: Classic, Dreamcast and Modern. Each level can be played with either Classic Sonic or Modern Sonic, each taking their own routes throughout the level. Classic Sonic's levels are strictly two dimensional side scrolling stages, using classic moves like the Spin Attack and Spin Dash. On the other hand, Modern Sonic's levels in the console versions carry on the modern 2D/3D gameplay of recent titles such as Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors, featuring homing attacks, boosting, and the quick step. In the 3DS version, Modern Sonic's level more resemble the 2D gameplay of the Sonic Rush series and the handheld version of Sonic Colors.[/release]

Coming 2011.
Eh, they've been getting better, but I still don't have faith in Sonic these days. Why should this game be-
and a fuckload more classic levels from the Genesis era, and the Dreamcast era. Yes, you fucking read that correctly.

the Dreamcast era.

Shut up and take my money.
It does look lovely
Will this have the same physics problems as Sonic Rush and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 with the loss of momentum when you jump, and the ability to walk up loops and so on, or will this not be a problem? I've been crossing my fingers for a good Sonic game since Sonic Chronicles, and so far every one of them has disappointed. This looks promising, but knowing Sonic Team... They better not fuck this up.

hi
Hopefully this will be the last sonic game. It'll be nice to end on a high note in a series that has been utter shit lately.

I'm fine with more Sonic as long as Sega maintains a consistent positive quality.
This looks pretty good, Might be the first modern game sonic game I've bought since Adventure 2 for the GCN.
I'm excited for this one.
It's been a long time since I've been excited for a Sonic game.
This makes my penis moist.
i cant believe i felt into the cycle...
it looked pretty good in the first video until it changed from sidescrolling then it just looked disorienting and weird.
also lol @ originality with being chased by a big fish like in the dreamcast game
This actually looks good. At first mixing 2.5D and 3D gameplay seemed like a gimmick, but it seems to really help create pacing.
I'm actually looking forward to this. Sonic Colors was a step in the right direction for the Sonic franchise and this seems like it's going to be even better.

Sonic Colors was so good. I can't wait for this. I feel bad for all those people that just apply the Sonic Cycle to every game. They missed out on Colors and probably will on this too.
Sonic Colours was good? So I was stupid for thinking the game was stupid for having a stupid name?
I guess I can dust off my Wii and go rent it.

The Sonic franchise always sort of had that. The 3D games were only really 3D at low or moderate speeds, at high speeds you'd snap to this premade path to avoid flying off the road at turns, then when you slowed down you could move freely again.
It didn't work very well.

Except for 2006.
Specifically the "sticking to a premade path at high speed" part.

We can all generally agree that, aside from the terrible motion-acted (and overall acted) cutscenes, Sonic 06 was beautiful to look at but absolutely shit to play.

Not even. Sonic looked like a big lanky boned fucker
I wonder what they'll do to this one to make it a failure?

This looks too good. Even the new type of levels don't look bad. Hope there's casino levels.

Is it only me that never found sonic fun? I love sonic adventure 1 and 2 oddly enough though
