Anyone ever heard of Alien Legacy? It's a very old strategy game from 1994. It's for DOS, and you'll need DOSBox to play it. I just started playing it myself and it just blows me away how deep this game is. I mean, this game is remarkable. Best of all, you can legally download the game for free, since the Sierra released it as freeware. I for one am very confused by this game, since the download doesn't come with a manual or guide on how to play it. Check it out, it's pretty fun, I'll be posting here when I need help in the game, like I do right now. And I welcome you to do so to. We can all help each other out. Here are some links you may want to check out. [QUOTE=morrowindsky;25454153]Personally, I prefer VDMSound, but hell, I'll try this game out.[/QUOTE] Is that a DOS emulator too?
[QUOTE=morrowindsky;25454182]Yep. It's what I use all the time. So far, it hasn't given me any shit. I ran TIE Fighter on it a couple weeks ago, not a hitch. Joystick also worked wonderfully. [editline]17th October 2010[/editline] Also doesn't need much in terms of resources.[/QUOTE] Oh wow, TIE Fighter, now that is an epic game. All of the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games are good imho, you play XvT? [editline]16th October 2010[/editline] [QUOTE=morrowindsky;25454182]Yep. It's what I use all the time. This game is pretty confusing. I have no idea what to do. Am I supposed to send colonists to new terra?
[QUOTE=Uberman77883;25454713]This game is pretty confusing. I have no idea what to do. Am I supposed to send colonists to new terra?[/QUOTE] Yeah, send 5 robots to New Terra, but how do you do that? [editline]17th October 2010[/editline] Okay, I think you have to be at this screen, but I'm not sure which of the 5 icons represents robots (assuming any of them do): [url]http://i56.tinypic.com/a9l93o.png[/url]
The one at the far right is robots. After you send robots there, build a habitat. Then send humans down.

How do I build a habitat area? [editline]17th October 2010[/editline] Nevermind, I built one, how do I refuel my vehicles? [editline]17th October 2010[/editline] Anyone know how to make it so the first icon thing is positive instead of negative? [editline]17th October 2010[/editline] Also how do you use the eco-scope
omg this game is so fun
Where's the I already played it in the past option?
Damnit I need to establish an ore pipeline between my first colony on Rhea to the Calypso. [editline]18th October 2010[/editline] Where is Sector 33, Meridian I? [IMG]http://i56.tinypic.com/qxwjgg.png[/IMG]
Holy shit this game is hard after a while.
[QUOTE=Violetta;25482899] Where is Sector 33, Meridian I?[/QUOTE] On Google.
How do I build more things than just the buildings you select at start? My advisors keep telling me to make scanners and bombs and shit, but I don't know how to make those either.
