How about using the megathread?
Yeah how about the megathread and people have the courtesy to use spoiler tags for everything and anything until... Friday or Saturday.
I don't even want slight spoilers before I can play but I don't really see the point of a second thread.

Fair enough about the spoiler tags, but what if someone doesn't use them?

This is fallout 3.5 we're talking about, it's not like the story is gonna even be good, let alone matter.
Apart from that being one of the aspects that was improved the most.
And people who don't use spoiler tags sure as hell aren't going to use another thread either.

It's follout 3.5, even though it has the exact same improvements fallout 2 had.

I don't give a shit what fallout 2 had, I'm not from NMA, and this isn't 1998.
I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy it now. Just my luck I buy it then two weeks later there's a sale.
Just played Fallout New Vegas:
1. Graphics are the same as Fallout 3 with maybe a little more in the way of gore.
2. Storyline seems more of a mystery than how Fallout 3 was straight forward with not too big of twists in it.
3. There are 3 types of currency, confusing? Yes. Worth your time and effort making a spread sheet about it? No.
4. Hardcore Mode, which makes you rely on pure survival skills, combat skills, and quick thinking skills. I.E., you need to eat and drink to avoid death, you need to sleep to avoid deprevation, and ammo has weight.
5. Controllable companions, passive or agressive modes and complete combat statagy control.
Just some initial thoughts. Overall, I love fallout because of the exploring and the idea of there is just so much to do. It is well worth it if you still play the 3rd Fallout.
Having a really bad lag issue with New Vegas to the point where it's not tolerable.
Even on medium settings, it will lag but the wierd thing is that I can play Fallout 3 on Ultra settings with a smooth 60fps. Anything I can do to fix this?
I've updated my video card and all that shite.
Try running in Windowed? It fixed all FPS problems, all lockup problems and all crash problems I had with Fallout 3. You can hide the title bar and window borders off the sides of the screen anyway.
