Gift cards. That's right, Steam gift cards. Why haven't they made them yet? It's a perfect idea and opportunity for people who don't have credit cards to get games. Is there any specific reason why Steam hasn't made them yet or has it yet to be thought of, or do they exist somewhere that nobody ever told me about?
Have you ever heard of the steam wallet? it was recently introduced with increments starting as low as $5 of any form of currency steam supports, and ranging up to $100 I believe

The average person has never even heard of Steam. Would it be effective to put cards all over everywhere so that the few internet gamers who don't have paypal can spend five bucks on them?

Not a lot of people knew about iTunes at first either (For a short amount of time), and with the gift cards, just take a look at it now. I know, it might be a shitty analogy, but I'm sure you get the point.
No, what Valve should do is have a way to put money on the Wallet through SMS.
Why can't you just buy a reloadable/prepaid debit card?

I haven't seen any of these card where I live (Australia) so that wouldn't be any good for me.

OR, people would notice the giftcards, wonder what steam is, and go on steam to check it out.
Take a look at habbo hotel.
They have around 10000 people on every day, yet they still sell gift cards. (for some odd reason)

Yeah and then they see the cards and will have heard of steam and that means more business for Valve.

Use paysafe cards with steam wallet. Paysafe cards are obtainable pretty much everywhere so you're fine
I'd like this too. A lot of my friends don't use steam because they do not have access to a credit card.
