Archimedian Dynasty/Schleichfahrt (Aquanox Series)

So, I recently dug through my ancient cds and I came upon something I played a loong time ago.

I'm talking about this sucker from 1996. The original German title is 'schleichfahrt' (wich is the term used for a submarine trying to be stealthy and avoid radar detection.) Its a submarine shooter from a german team called Massive Developement. The next two games in the series were Aquanox and Aquanox 2 wich got published by JoWood and are better known than the original game. Anyone else remembers this game?
It had light rpg elements, like upgrading ships and taking side quests at the differend underwater cities you visit.
Its really just a nostalgia thing for me. Well, if it helps your memory, here are some screenshots:

Visiting one of the first stations. Animated backgrounds and all that good DOS-y stuff.

You often get to see the exteriors of the differend stations when you have to defend them.

Escorting Missions, eh? Yes, you get them, but I don't remember them to be really annoying. Still, at some point you get that Lovecraftian chill when suddenly you encounter things of enourmos size in the pitch black dark ocean.
