Fucking autosave features.
It's either too infrequently they save, or they save directly before a challenging battle. Now normally I wouldn't mind a quicksave before an epic battle, but not when it pauses the game and either ASKS if I want to save, or pauses to say "Saving." I would rather have a non interrupted icon that says "OH HEY, WE BE SAVING YER GAME." Instead of stopping the action.
Also those games with NO autosave features, with only one quicksave slot. Fuck.

Rockstar's template save system for its free roam games since GTA3 is really starting to piss me off. It was fine back in Vice City and San Andreas when it was possible to purchase property in various parts of the game world, but GTA4 shat all over that feature and even took the only save spot in Broker away from me permanently. Episodes from Liberty City just made it worse by only giving me one safe house each.
Red Dead Redemption is only slightly better thanks to buyable houses and the campfire, but it's crashed during one save attempt and keeps loading whichever save slot is earliest in the story. Between GTA4 and RDR, I've lost track of how many wretched fucking point-to-point commutes I've had to do over.
