Mortal Online is a first-person MMORPG in a fantasy setting. Mortal Online is a next generation PC MMORPG both in terms of graphics and gameplay. There are no PvP zones, only an open realistic world where you are free to choose your own path. Experience true real-time combat where you decide every move your character makes and where your personal skill really matters. Build your own house, or set up a guild to build a keep. With enough power, violence or diplomacy, you and your allies will be able to rule an entire nation. Choose from many different races and professions. You decide your own style of playing and whether to focus on PvP or PvE, both sharing the same game world. Devote your life to crafting, combat, magic or trading. Discover new skills, tools and resources. Or be the first to explore new areas to put your name on the map. Straight from the Overview on site look for more here: http://www.mortalonline.com/news _______________________________________________________________________________ - Player Housing is now implemented. You are now able to build your very own house! There are roughly 1000 house spots unevenly spread across the continent and the placements of these spots are in no way final. The purpose for now is to test the basic construction of houses as well as how the servers cope with the housing system. - Mounts are now implemented. Tame it, ride it, attack people from it but don’t fall off! - First draft of the lawless mining town, Gaul'kor is implemented. - There are now pickable (foraging) items in the world (although very few, currently). ___________________________________________________________ The monthly subscription cost of Mortal Online will be €14.25 for Europeans and $14.25 for everybody else. This cost is subject to change. _______________________________________________________________________________ NDA has been lifted :D _______________________________________________________________________________ MO System Requirements (an estimation) Please note that all options and scaling are not yet in the game, meaning the requirements will change over time. so is the beta like free or something
so is the beta like free or something
I guess it closed and may be out around Oct-Dec and from what I see is that someone can build a guild keep for their guild and other players walk through the territory and are flagged to be able to be killed without consequence or you can keep them as a guest :D
ooo goodie
I might build a house and hire my no life friend to guard it lol. So anyone thinking about trying the game when its released? We should build a town of homes and have a huge keep in the center and call it Facepunchville Imma listen to this while I build it XD
It actually seems interesting, like an online oblivion which I always thought was a good idea.
Looks alright but ill wait till its done and a American server gets put up,Aussie connection to eu is like 500-750 American 190-250

There's a metric fuckton of things that still need to be fixed/improved/finished/polished. They're working hard on it though.

I'm in beta, way to laggy for my tastes right now. Hit's are hard to register.
That sucks, well if you find any good update message me so I can update Thread
I'm trying to not break the NDA (which I think I've done with the above post), so I'll have to spill the stuff very sparingly. There are a lot of gameplay elements that haven't been tested yet, but I don't know how much testing they'll actually need and how well the devs have already prepared those features. In other words, I don't feel I've got enough background info to put things into the right perspective. And I really don't want to hurt their business by spreading what might be half-truths. I'll get back to you once I've got reliable news.
I'm in beta, way to laggy for my tastes right now. Hit's are hard to register.
because the server is stress tested. That's why you're a beta player.
I'm in beta, way to laggy for my tastes right now. Hit's are hard to register.
well hey, what did you expect? it's beta. you're a beta tester. you gotta get in there and help them.
Or you can give me your beta
Lag is also heavy for a lot of people because the only server right now is in Europe...
bought it, installed it, tried it for a minute, never logged on since. It's a scam pretty much.
if this is a scam darkfall must be a punch in the dick, huh? (inb4 im a girl)
I'd say darkfall is actually better than this shit
I'd wait till it's finished though, from what i've heard it's not even close to being finished.
I'd say darkfall is actually better than this shit
I remeber you praising the game last thread.
I remeber you praising the game last thread.
I was wrong. I'll be selling my account asap
Come back to darkfall qurl we still love you there.
FYI: They raised the beta slots to 20 000, if you buy a copy now you'll get immidiate access.
European costs are ripoff. Bullshit.
bought it, installed it, tried it for a minute, never logged on since. It's a scam pretty much.
If it's a scam, it's a pretty bad one, seeing as how much time and effort they must have put into it. I could probably think of much easier ways to cheat people out of their money than actually making a playable game. While MO is still lacking a lot in many respects, it IS a lot more than, say, just a tech demo.
I'd say darkfall is actually better than this shit
Yeah, you would know, having played it "for a minute".
European costs are ripoff. Bullshit.
I must agree I'm afraid. I will probably eventually buy it but, 70€ for the boxed one is just too much.
The movement is sluggish as shit.
But according to what I've read (note that I can't be 100% sure), that is the point of it, there are no "click-to-attack" buttons, you have to hold it down for a few seconds and then release it, that way there is no attack spamming (if you are in the beta you surely know this, but others in this thread may have missed it). Also is it as sluggish as ArmA 2? Or is it just laggy? I can immagine it being extremely laggy if you don't live in Europe. It can't be more sluggish than ArmA 2, right?
