Is there a cvar or command line parameter that forces Source to not show those dumb startup movies? (eg. "Source engine", "2 weeks after first infection")

I looked in the right place, but I didn't saw it... Very dumb of me
no, but you can press space and skip them.
left click the game you want and go to it's properties. click set launch options and add (without "s) "-novid" and hit ok. that's it. launch the game and it'll skip intro movies.
