Post lots of screenshots 'cause my image hosting site is all fucked up
I don't see why they need to make more Flight Simulators. FSX is 5 years old and still challenges my computer :frown:
I never completed an actual flight in any FS
I just give up within 5 minutes
Microsoft flight sims suck, OP also needs more content.

the longest flight ive ever completed was a 8 hour flight to Rome from New York
I dont really like this compared to flightgear. I wonder when microsoft will make a FREE flight simulator...
Combat flight simulators?
Content, content nowhere.

That's because it's optimized like shit.... All the Flight Simulator games are, every one of them.
FSX sucks as well, by the way. Oh it has more features and better looking water and Autogen scenery but it sucks. It runs poorly even on great Rigs and that's a turn off... it also ditches 2D cockpits, which you should, but does 3D Virtual Cockpits poorly, especially in comparison to Lock On or IL2. Not only that, Gauges in the Virtual Cockpit ran at a set framerate, regardless of how many frames you were getting... Making ILS Approaches fucking stupid when the Localizer and Glideslope update once every 2 seconds
Century of Flight is definitely the best Flight Sim to date, Most of the great addons have been ported over to FSX but You can grab much better performance with much more on screen in FS9.
Anyway... I was a huge Flight Sim addict from FS5 to FS9, FSX can suck a dick, and I have doubts on how authentic commercial aviation is going to be simulated in the upcoming Microsoft Flight
Some nice FS9 Screenshots that I've taken well over 3 years ago

Since the MSN Gaming Zone took down Flight Simulator, I haven't played it too much, which is sad, I've been messing around on The Zone since 1997, up until then

Anyone remember this? It was one of the first pics to show DX10 capabilities. It's still hilarious.
Those pictures piss me off because FSX looks absolutely nothing like that. Fucking dicks :<
I like how you can get graphics like those these days though anyway
This thread needs more IL-2.
This thread needs more mega.
Can anyone give me some tips for optimizing flightgear? rudder control is sluggish as hell. Yoke could use some tweaking too. Might just be my computer

Tell me about it... That's what was advertised, this is what you actually got:

(And that's about 14 Frames per second if I recall)
flightsimulator, wow nostalgia
8 hours?? Jesus Christ that would have been so boring
what, did you leave for 7 hours and set it on autopilot?
I tried FSX, and didn't like it at all. Flaming Cliffs 2 and DCS: Black Shark are more for my taste.
I was kind of dissapointed with FSX when I played it, mainly with the poor optomisation and the graphics which look so great on the cover and in the DX10 preview but so shitty ingame (damn you pre renders!).
Didn't make any long flights, because if I left it on auto pilot it just wouldn't sit on the same altitude at all, always going up and down.
I remember FS 95 taking off at the normal starting point at I think Laguardia Airport and then just crashing into the sky scrapers 2 minutes after takeoff. I liked to see that small plane crumble.
MS FS is extremely boring, so they would need to do something more fun to sell more copies.
I'll hope they add the possibility of declaring emergencies to FS11. It was boring that if you had any problems with a 747 for example, the ATC just said ''IFR services terminated, maintain VFR''.
And also, I'll hope that they replace the few fake AI airlines with real airlines. It's frustrating to download 100's of AI-airlines from Avsim or WoAI.
And, it looks like that this new FS is going to be a casualized piece of trash. ''From new game play elements and enhanced scenery and terrain to new aircraft and integrated content marketplace''
Content marketplace.
Fuck you Microsoft, fuck you. I don't know how it can be so easy for you to ruin a 25-year old game series just because you want a few extra bucks.
Too bad my X52 broke.
Playing FSX with keyboard is horrible.

You mean KCGX, Merril C. Meigs airfield... It' closed now, which is a shame. Which is why in FS9 the new default starting location was Portland International... I think, I hardly remember anymore
I still recommend Ultimate Traffic AI, FSPassengers, Level D Simulations 767-300 for FS9. That oughta take your Commercial Experience to a whole new level the default shit just doesn't come close to touching
Goddamn i should reinstall this to see what its like on my new system
ifsx is ok if you select somewhere fun like HK with a couple of international airports close togther, some of the locations are laughable though load up Courchevel france CVF or Lukla Airport (Nepal) then take a look what there supposed to be like, the fsx Courchevel is more or less impossible
oh god it runs like shit
My dad is part of a "Virtual Air Canada" thing online, and does real Air Canada flights in game a few times a week. He has a bunch of AI packages and scenery, so airports look real packed.
he uses FSX

I heard X-Plane is a good sim.
X-plane has way better Flight characteristics than MS FS, Far more realistic
one of the earlier versions was even FAA Certified
