I know that there was an engine update that fucked them all over, but there were these patches released that made them work:

However, the link for the smod Tactical patch is now broken D: What do i do? I really want to play it. ( Also i know when you try to download it it SEEMS to work, until it would actually start downloading then it says "file not found".)
Also. When i found out that i couldnt get that patch, i edited gameinfo.txt in the smod tactical folder and changed SteamAppId to 215 (which is the SDK base app isnt it?). This got changed in the patch for smod 40, so i thought that that might fix the engine thing.
Well im not sure if it did, i can play the game and do the configuration level and any of the hostage rescue missions on CSS maps. But when i try to go into the half life 2 campaign (you step on a teleporter at the end of the configuration level) nothing happens. Neither the SMOD enhanced campaign, or the normal one.
Also: if i try to go to a half life 2 level from the "start new game" thing, then nothing happens.
Maybe i made the engine work and something else is broken or maybe what i did did nothing and it is like this regardless. Either way can anyone help me?
PLEASE if anyone has the patch on their pc, give it to me?

Change the SteamAppId to 220. If I remember rightly, that'll sort it out.

Yeah, change the app ID. You might end up with no character dialog though. If that happens, look up a guide on how to copy the files from half-life 2 to Tactical, I'd tell you how but I'm really too sleepy right now. :geno:
