Hey gang! We're back!
First of all I'd like to say how sorry I am that it has taken us so long to bring Fullmoon back to life. It's been hard reading over the trickle of comments and messages that I get sent occasionally enquiring about the status of the project and wanting badly to tell people good news and reassure them the project is still happening but having to turn them away empty handed. Now, finally, I can proudly announce Fullmoon is back on track and in full swing. Alex and I are more experienced than before and more confident and motivated to get this mod released than ever. And what better day to release this news than on the night of a total lunar eclipse!
Some more info about the mod:
Fullmoon is a team-based, multiplayer FPS with a survival horror theme. The game is a modification for the Source engine on PC. There are two teams in the game, British Army Soldiers and Werewolves. Soldiers are equipped with firearms and explosives which do not injure the Werewolves but do impede and slow them down. Werewolves are armed only with their claws and teeth which are deadly to the Soldiers. The levels are set in a range of outdoor and indoor atmospheric environments during the dead of night on a full moon. The game has two game modes:
Recon Game Mode
The Soldiers are sent on a reconnaissance mission but are dropped off half a kilometer from their target destination and must travel the rest of the way on foot. Werewolves are in the area with them and must hunt down and kill as many Soldiers as they can before teh Soldiers reach their destination. Once the target destination is reached the Soldiers discover an old Winchester rifle and 10 rounds of silver bullets to load into it, these are deadly to the Werewolves. Once the Winchester rifle is armed, any players killed previously by the Werewolf come alive as Werewolves themselves. The game ends when all the members of one team are eliminated.
Siege Game Mode
The Soldiers team start inside a building. They must barricade their stronghold against the enemy attack by nailing planks and boards of wood found inside the building against the doors, buying themselves enough time to escape via rescue vehicle. The Werewolf team start outside and must smash and break the strongholds doors down to get access and kill the Soldiers inside before their rescue arrives. The ends when all the Soldiers escape or are eliminated.
Looks promising for a project with only two devs.
Kind of sounds like zombie panic source
Typo

Also, if they are going to focus on the forested areas, i sugges making new trees. Also the last screen shot with the buildings looks really distorted, not to mention the textures on the house are god awful. I believe it to be some thing wrong with the screen shot since they look like pretty good mappers

Yeah, the devs know about the terrible looking house.

Thank god, this looks original hope to try it out soon
it looks good but the mapping is horribly sub-par
So basically this:

God I loved that movie.
It looks intriguing.
The weapons and drawings look nice, but the map could use a lot of work. They need new trees, too.
I really don't understand why the first media to come out of nearly all Source mods has some high-res shot of a gun that is beautifully modelled and says nothing about the game. No doubt it will have full and "realistic" animations, but seriously, the obesession with modelling weapons in Source mods I find a bit weird.

That's a horrible texture.

Guns are what most modelers start out with, and lots of them get really good at it. Decent weapon modelers are easier to find than a lot of other team members.
