Minecraft Beta 1.6.6
Unless there are any emergency things to fix, I won’t do any more updates before 1.7. Going to E3 on Saturday.
I will be bringing my laptop to do some development, but I won’t be able to do much testing.
ONWARDS TO THE ADVENTURE UPDATE! *holds up sword, poses dramatically*
1.6.6:
+ Added a new use for bonemeal
* Changed the material of glowstone from “glass” to “stone”. This means you need a pickaxe to get resources from it
* Made glowstone drop more loot
* Made the recipe sizes for creating cloth blocks and glowstone blocks smaller (2x2 instead of 3x3)
* Re-introduced unlimited FPS, renamed the option again
* Fixed beds not working very well at all in SMP
* Fixed destroying a boat spawning the player too low, causing them to sometimes fall through the ground
* Boats float up to the surface quicker
* Boats falling down into water lose their vertical momentum very fast
* Removed Herobrine

Uhm, what is Herobrine? It's been a while since I played minecraft, so I don't really remember what that is.

What does bonemeal do now?
According to facebook, bonemeal can be used to facilitate grass growth.

Herobrine was always moving my cactus around. Thank god it was finally removed.
It seems that you can connect to 1.6.5 servers on 1.6.6.
Well, unless someone other than the owner of this server updated it, but I don't know who could do that.

I thought you got cloth by smacking sheep.
You can make them out of string as well, it seems.

Yup, I used to do it quite a lot, because string doesn't have many uses, so once you got them, you can just use wool, Even if sheep are common.
you've been able to use string to make cloth pretty much forever.

You could make cloth blocks by making a 3x3 string formation in a crafting table.
