Alright, I know this is my first post on this account, but bare with me. If anyone has played New Vegas, you feel it's let's say, Fallout 3 with a different cover. I'm sure most people think that, and don't get me wrong, I LOVE the game. But, is it me, or did they mess up -horribly- on things? Like I said, I love it. I also enjoy the things they fixed, as well as adding the new "Relation" thing with the tribes ect ect. But I can't help but notice when I go to Freeside there is children there, not to mention a female child which has breasts. The store shouter kid besides the train door has a face of a 30 year old man, I mean, the least they could of done was take the models from Fallout 3. Were they lazy to make them, or are they just midgets? And if no one believes me, just go to Freeside where The Kings are. Anyway, this thread is mainly to ask if anyone else saw anything weird in NV, and if so post screen shots, tell a story, anything. This goes for finding glitches, or just bugs. Or perhaps you could tell what you would of wanted them to change. Well here goes one of my other experiences. I threw a stick of dynamite and someone walked over it. Suddenly it exploded and the guy flew like, what? 150 feet? I never laughed that hard in my life. He also didn't die til he hit the ground. :P
I dislike Fallout 3, i like New vegas.
I blame them using the Gamebryo engine.
times are rough the children will look like 30 year olds what exactly is your point
Yeah, the engine has too many limitations.
I love Vegas, I just have a few friends who seem to think its a clone, but that's their own opinion not mine. I second that Mad.
it's not a 'clone', get off that bandwagon. There are plenty of great improvements and the whole atmosphere is completely different from fallout 3's.
Yeah I agree. I kind of wish they would of used a different game engine though. Thing is, there is a big different between the console one, than the actual PC one. Mainly graphical errors and hanging. You would probably last 2 or so hours before it crash and had to restart so you'd save frequently. Kinda stinks because the console one hasn't even updated yet.

I don't get why people are complaining about how it looks like Fallout 3. Fallout 2 looks like Fallout 1. BFBC 1 and 2. Killzone 2 and 3. Bioshock 1 and 2. Half Life 2, and all the episodes. Portal 1 and 2. COD 4-7.

Besides ironsights and the HUD color being changed, I sometimes forget which game I'm playing.
Because Obsidian is a very easy target for people who just want to bitch to bitch.
Probably because those games actually have something changed. I just can't wait to see fallout 4/elder scrolls 5 on that rage engine. When I saw that tech demo at e3 I nutted.
Bethesda said they won't be using ID Tech 5, from what everyone is hearing they are upgrading the Gamebryo Engine so the graphics look better.
I dislike it because there's a ton of people out there who have had their eyes covered with wool by Bethesda/Obsidian into believing that the Fallout series is running on an amazing engine when it isn't and is plagued by technical issues, optimization issues, bugs/glitches/exploits, terrible animations, and lackluster graphics. I'll admit that they definitely upped the texture and sound quality from Fallout 3 but it's still running on the same shitty engine that so many people falsely believe is a good engine.

Mainly it was my friend's cousin that was so ballistic and hated it and called it the same thing. Eh, people get what they get. Just make sure you get the PC one and your fine >>
Probably because those games actually have something changed. This game looks the exact same. Besides ironsights and the HUD color being changed, I sometimes forget which game I'm playing.
Yes, because New Vegas has improved animations and shooting.
Bethesda said they won't be using ID Tech 5, from what everyone is hearing they are upgrading the Gamebryo Engine so the graphics look better.
They already did that. Morrowind was on the Gamebryo engine. If this says anything, it's that we still won't have diagonal running animations.
Well technically Morrowind didn't run on the Gamebryo Engine, but the engine it used became Gamebryo.
They already did that. Morrowind was on the Gamebryo engine. But he didn't release it because of obvious legal reasons. Looked pretty good
You know, I recall someone replacing the Gamebryo engine with the Crisis engine. But he didn't release it because of obvious legal reasons. Looked pretty good
Yeah someone was rebuilding Oblivion's Cyrodil in it I think.
For the fans of fallout that liked Fallout 3 and wish that New Vegas had a different engine, would you like a game that is nothing like the game you liked and is nothing like the series is now used to?
For the fans of fallout that liked Fallout 3 and wish that New Vegas had a different engine, would you like a game that is nothing like the game you liked and is nothing like the series is now used to?
It's not like using a different engine changes anything about the plot.
Goddamnit stop making your games look bad just to make the most out of your Gamebryo license Bethesda.
Did it have diagonal running animations?
It was mainly a render of the place Cryodil. But if you wanted to go technical, since it was replaced, the characters would probably move realisticly. But it would break how things normally work, like picking up items unless you hard coded it too. I'm probably just speaking crap, but, yeah. He didn't show anything else, because he didn't want to get sued or something.
