Here are 2 of the most depressing games I could find.
1. Edmund
Few games are as uncomfortable to play as Edmund. This low-fi indie offers two levels, linked in an odd way. The first sees you running through the fields of Vietnam, shooting on sight. The second has you as a man at a bus stop. When you begin to interact with the woman next to you, you realize you’re about to do something horrific beyond words. Brave, intriguing and disturbing.
A pixel art indie game by this dude that names slips my head. Anyway, it's sure to ruin your day.
2. The Baron
Indie game by Victor Gijsbers. It is a text adventure, so don't be turned off by the shoddy graphics or art design, it just means that you gotta pay attention to the story even more.
Explaining why this game is messed up without hitting spoiler territory is difficult. It’s all in the ending, you see. Until then, The Baron is an average text adventure about a man battling a dragon, who eventually faces an evil baron who’s kidnapped his daughter. But the dawning realization that something’s not all that it seems, before one final sucker-punch moment which presents you with a flabbergastingly unpleasant choice, makes this game memorable for the most disturbing of reasons.
If you have any other depressing games you'd like post 'em here and I'll add them to OP.
[sp]Fuck you[/sp]
Hellmoo is always depressing.
Oh god why do you have to start from the beginning when you die in Edmund?
Why would someone do this
Hellmoo is always depressing.
Getting hit in the head and killed by a penis is never depressing.
what the hell do i do in eddie
Getting hit in the head and killed by a penis is never depressing.
Getting mauled by your zombie rot infected body, then grabbing it and raping it to death is another kind of fun though. :q:
The fuck did i just play?
what the hell do i do in eddie
Shoot [del]things[/del]grass, jump over mines, rape people.

Sit in corner and cry after you've realized what you've done.
Edmund's second part ending is wierd.
Why does the old guy die as well?
Fuck it would be great if I knew how to play the Baron properly.
So... [sp]Michael is Eddie?[/sp]
So, where you play as Mikey, you run after Eddie who then tells you to rape the girl.. I shot Eddie instead and I died aswell, then raped the girl instead and turned into Eddie.
Eddie's part, I keep dying at a mine, what's the ending for that?

[sp]You eventually shoot a soldier, then his wife (presumably) comes out and mourns him. You rape her.[/sp]
I didn't play the first one but I saw a video, really couldn't take it seriously when he raped every single person he saw.
I don't get Edmund.
After 23 tries, I couldn't beat the part where there's this big plot of concealed mines. So I skipped ahead to the city part, and when I ran up to the chick, I raped her for some reason. Then I started playing as the old guy.
Could someone sum this up for me? I want to play it to it's fullest, but the fucking mine part stops me.
What the fuck did I just play.

Edmund is an evil rapist.
Here's one.
The Graveyard

The Graveyard is a computer game developed by Belgian developer Tale of Tales in which the player assumes the role of an old lady walking through a graveyard to a bench. A song begins to play, after which the player walks out of the graveyard and the game ends. The only difference between the free trial and the real game is that in the real one, every time it is played there is a small chance the old lady will die.

The graveyard
I didn't think that it was depressing, just kinda boring.

Think of the speedruns potential!

These text games are pretty comprehensive. I didn't expect half the stuff I've done so far to work.
[sp]You eventually shoot a soldier, then his wife (presumably) comes out and mourns him. You rape her.[/sp]
[sp]I thought that Micheal was the soldier who comes out after Eddie rapes the girl in the Vietnam level.[/sp]

the grass can be shot by your gun to reveal the mines.

[sp]micheal is eddie, because if you kill eddie, micheal dies. if you rape the girl, you become eddie. [/sp]
What was so depressing about The Baron? That was a pretty nice ending.
The Baron wasn't depressing as it was deep. Made me think.
Edmund was kinda boring for me. It was trying to get a point across, I assume, but just wasn't holding my attention.
I want more games like this.
the only games i know that are depressing are 1. I have no mouth so i must scream, and 2. the darkness.
Edmund was boring, the war level was annoying, being relocated all the way to the beginning i a game based on story is not a good idea, and the other level just made me laugh.

Nice song.
I am stuck in the baron. I have talked to the baron and don't know how to open the doors. Any ideas?
