So I was wanting to buy Fallout: New Vegas for my PC, but I'm unsure if it will run on my computer or not since I'm pretty bad when it comes to specs on computers. :S
Before you ask, yes, I did use the systemrequirementslab.com place, however that lead me to wondering something...
When I run the test on Fallout: New Vegas, it says that I completely pass it, showing this.

However when I run Fallout 3, it says that I can run it except it recommends that I upgrade my graphics card (it also notes that the game wasn't released when Windows 7 was out. I'm using Win7), showing this.

So, as you can see it says that my computer can run Fallout: New Vegas nearly flawlessly however that I may have trouble running Fallout 3 (because, in the full results it recommended I upgrade my graphics card, though doesn't on New Vegas's test). This leads me to wondering if perhaps that site doesn't have sufficient data at the time for the game, since I figured that, if anything, New Vegas would be harder to run, however the site seems to say that it is easier to run.
So since I am somewhat doubting the results on that site, I am turning to you, the people of Facepunch. I will post my specs and you will tell me how well, if at all New Vegas will run.
Or you will tell me to buy it on mah Ecksbocks.
(I want to get it for my PC if it will run)
My specs:
Studio 1747 Dell Laptop
Intel Core i7 CPU Q720 @1.60GHz
4.00 GB of RAM
Windows 7 64-Bit OS
ATI Mobility Radeon 4650
I don't really know how good that is if it's good at all. Please remember that it is a laptop.
TLDR - Will Fallout: New Vegas run on my computer based on those specs; I'm doubting the systemrequirementslab site.
I'm running New Vegas on a PC with these specs.

I think you'll do just fine.
Well I guess that's rather re-assuring.
Not sure why my OP got rated as 'Funny'. If anything I figured it'd be rated as 'Dumb' since the answer would either be an obvious yes or an obvious no.
Any other insight is of course welcome before I make my final purchase.
I ran FO3 on Low, but New Vegas on Medium.
Dude, I wouldn't trust that System Requirements Lab bullshit. It's extremely inaccurate.
Only use System Requirements lab to trick tech-illiterate people into buying games they can't run.
system requirements said i could play crysis perfectly
then it told me my computer was below average for team fortress 2
Your computer will run it, but not that well.
You are probably gonna want this for NPC lag issues.

Your computer will run it just fine.
You have an ATI card, you're ready to go.
Your computer will run it, but not that well.
Yeah, if I found out my computer couldn't run it period I would be completely disappoint. lol
I think I'll probably go for it and buy it on Steam.
Thanks everyone for the feedback; more of it is still welcome though.
Is one core enough? NV says dual core is minimum.
Dang, that laptop sucks. Really old CPU
I have an i65, personally
Well, while we're all here:
Nvidia GeForce G210 512 mb
Intel Dual Core E5200 @ 2.5Ghz
4GB DDR2
Yeah, shitty prebuilt, I know, but will it run? I could run FO3 on low-med settings, if that helps.

Stop complaining all of you!
Nvida GeForce 8600 GT
AMD Athlon 3800+ (Single core)
(Just Under) 2GB DDR2
I run FO3 in Highest mode, with graphics mods, and a decent framrate. I have 1 core, and it is usually the exact single core edition of the dual core card that is the minimum in many games (EG Assassins Creed needs the 3800+X2, incidentally AC caused me to bluescreen)
Hell, my Graphics card is busted anyway, it spazzes out all the time. Yet Crysis runs fine on med/high.
You will run FO:NV, and on high. And if not I don't see why. I don't even overclock.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or acual :downs:.
Make sure to download the d3d9.dll from Newvegas nexus. It gave me a huge boost, i could barely play with full AA but with the dll i could play with full AA and have increased fps.
It will walk.

So I guess the verdict is that it will work, but I probably can't run it on max settings, or what? Too many mixed reactions in this thread. :S
SystemRequirementsLab is highly inaccurate. If you want to use a site to tell you, then use YouGamers.
Either way, you're better off looking at the Minimum Requirements and seeing if your hardware meets or exceeds them instead of relying on an inaccurate site.
snip
If it has legs then it will run.
I love that period after buying a brand new PC of not having to worry about system requirements.... But that period before buying the new PC you're just looking at requirements going Nope, can't run that, Nope, can't run that one either... Nope... Nope
Your rig would run Fallout 3 perfectly fine, I don't see why New Vegas wouldn't run just as well, if not better, since it's just the same damn game with more time for optimization

You can call yourself lucky with that.
I have a double Intel Core 2 Duo and a Nvidia Geforce Asus 260 GTX.
It works fine on medium most time, but when i look in certain directions, it starts lagging.
Also it said it would run Ultra High with high FPS, but, you know how they are. . .

liers :argh:
It'll work don't worry, I'm on a single core at the moment as my good pc has broke and it actually works fine on medium/high graphics

I've got almost the exact same specs, So I guess I'm set :v:
your computer will overheat and your plug socket will explode
even loading facepunch can slowly initiate this process
throw it out NOW GO GO GO DO IT THROW IT
