Each player can choose between a variety of playable Bloodlines with different spectacular abilities, from the awesome strength of the Vanguard to the deceptive magic of the Harbinger. The game's release date is yet to be announced. It is currently in a closed beta but has sign-ups: http://www.bloodlinechampions.com/beta_signup.php Features

Bloodline Champions is a PVP game with short, intense matches for up to ten players divided into two teams. Every player plays one of several different bloodlines with 7 unique abilities each.

Different bloodlines in a set up complement eachother, different maps and gamemodes need different tactics, so good teamwork is a must for success.

Chance is not a factor, spells and abilities do a set amount of damage. Random elements such as critical hits and passive abilities do not exist.

Spells travel to where the player aims and can be avoided by enemy players, making every ability dependant on individual player skill.

Without mana and creeps, the game has almost zero downtime and is instead based on short cooldowns, this coupled with no grind or farming ensures that every match is full of action.
Bloodlines are broken up into four categories: Tanks These characters are the ones who lead the charge into team fights and can be the deciding factor in whether or not you win. Tanks are also capable of putting out large amounts of damage while sustaining themselves if they're not kept in check. Pictured above is Thorn, an earth/poison based tank that is proficient at snaring opponents. Ranged Damage Simply put, these are the characters that do their damage away from the action of the battle. Pictured above is Igniter, a small fellow who is fond of throwing fireballs and creating volcanoes underneath his enemies. Melee Damage Quickly moving, sword swinging characters such as these are what make the melee damage bloodline what it is. They help keep ranged damage in check and are a pain in the ass to any healer. Pictured above is Harbinger, a dark/lifeleeching heavyhitter. Capable of gripping their enemies and slowing their movement speed, making them easy prey. It's not wise to go toe-to-toe with this character. Healers Healers are not an enigma, they heal. They're what keeps your team alive in prolonged fights and can turn the tide of battle if played correctly. Pictured above is Psychopomp, a voodoo priestess of sorts that is capable of slinging heals, fearing enemies, and interrupting spellcasters. website? is it released?
website? is it released?
I'm guessing you didn't see the
Beta Signup
in the OP.
Looks pretty fun actually. Going to sign up for the beta.
I'm guessing you didn't see the in the OP.
uhh he edited the website link in.
Sure is DotA in here.
Sure is DotA in here.
It's not even close to DotA...
Looks interesting, hopefully the combat is Diablo-like
Looks interesting, hopefully the combat is Diablo-like
no it's not, it uses wasd movement and m1, m2, spacebar, q, e, r, and f are attacks/spells
no it's not, it uses wasd movement and m1, m2, spacebar, q, e, r, and f are attacks/spells
By default. Keybindings are customizable.
no it's not, it uses wasd movement and m1, m2, spacebar, q, e, r, and f are attacks/spells
Well then again WASD movement is much better than point and click which is just annoying. I mean more of the gameplay, as in being an Action RPG instead of a RPG. Luckily it seems like it will be like that.
It's like the read my mind. I've been dreaming of an arena based, top down game like this for ages.

Looks cool.
Bumping because I just recieved an email with a beta key. Going to download it in a second. [editline]12:08PM[/editline] Why is the game only downloadable as a torrent? I hate torrents.
Got into the beta and this game is fucking amazing. Everyone should buy this when it is released. Everyone.
Oh god, those videos and their narrator. :psyduck:
This game is not what I imagined it to be when I signed up for the beta. It's really interesting. It would handle much better on a controller tho.
Looks like another HoN / LoL game.
Looks like another HoN / LoL game.
It isn't. It shares the idea of arena battles, but it isn't like DotA or any DotA-like.
God dammit. I spent an hour making up a thread for this in notepad only to see that there already is one, just not as good. OP needs to put an emphasis on the fact that this game is purely skill based, not based on level, or items. There are no towers, no items shops, no bases. Just cooldowns, and an arena. Also if any goldies want an invite PM me.
This game is pretty underrated. It's more like WoW arena with out items. It's not my type of game but a lot of people will end up liking this. Better than that shit game called LoL.
This game looks great. I signed up for the beta, but if any of you have a spare invite, I'd really appreciate it if you could send it my way :v:
This is a much more recent, interesting, and entertaining video about the game. It is in no way like DotA. It is more like Guild Wars/WoW arena except tailored for professional competition in that there is no items, random chance, leveling, or any sort of unfair advantages. A lot of the guys working on the game are/were really into esports and they are doing an amazing job at making this game great. Everything is skill-based, everything is aimed. You can put two teams of the same characters against each other, and the team with the most skill will win every time. The matches are extremely fast-paced and fun, and will always end rather quickly (in a good way). If you've ever enjoyed any type of competitive PvP gaming, then I can't stress how amazing this game is. [editline]10:14PM[/editline]
God dammit. [editline]10:16PM[/editline]
It would handle much better on a controller tho.
Uhh, good luck with that. You'd be terrible.
Uhh, good luck with that. You'd be terrible.
I like that guys SC2 videos. Nice to see he does other things every so often. Why? I actually find it a bit awkward, more so than Heroes of Newerth, to have to move, aim and use abilities all at the same time. At least in the case of a controller, say a Playstation one, I don't need to remove my hands from my movement to use certain abilities if I have them on the shoulder buttons.

I can't imagine hitting anyone with any ability using a controller. A mouse is required because every single ability has to be aimed, and many can be aimed whilst moving. The only way it would work would to have the right stick literally control a mouse cursor which would be really clunky and you'd get your shit pushed in by every team. You just have to get used to moving and then using a skill (or moving whilst using a skill). It's a natural thing that you get used to doing in almost every PvP environment. Also, yeah his videos are cool. V:smile:V

I still think it would be better simply because I never have to move my hands. I feel like I'm dashing around my keyboard right now. EDIT: Shiiiii-, I totally forgot about my Nostromo! That would be perfect for this.

Also, all the keybindings are configurable, but I don't see any need to change them.

LoL plus Rakion = Bloodline Champions? I haven't played yet, but that's what it honestly looks like.
