Steam Facebook connectivity! - Games

Go to your edit profile page, under the avatar section you should see a "facebook" option.

I think all this does is update your FB with Steam shit. Because I connected mine but it does nothing else. No Facebook link on my profile or anything.

You can also connect your YouTube account.

well its useful for steam users who use facebook I suppose to find eachother with [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] but yeah with steam getting some competition(haha) they seem to be trying to entwine the software/community with other social stuff (so far screenshots, and youtube/facebook for external sites) not a bad plan to minimize competition risk

Handy as now when my friends ask me what my Steam name is an I say "Icemaz" they won't do every other combination of letters.

Personally, I like my anonymity on steam.

Facebook is dumb, not because it's a social network (which is the usual hate from nerds on forums) but because it's buggy and run by horrible staff. Also I prefer other forms of social networking but Facebook has to be used since 99% of people only use it. It also tends to appeal only to the mainstream "bro" people, just look how long it took for there to be a 'games' section on one's profile. I hope Google squashes it too be honest. They tend to appeal to everyone without sacrificing stuff that geeks love. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] Let's also not forget the spam you get 24/7 from stupid apps your friends use.
