[b]Story[/b]
The crossover story of Half-life and Portal is about to be extended. You play as Gordon Freeman who wakes up in the Aperture Science Enrichment Center while promptly being awaken by GLaDOS. She greets you with "Finally, you're awake. I took the liberty of killing Alyx for you." Not only will this game feature new story telling methods but it will be the first Valve game to feature cut scenes. So, after GLaDOS tells the player, the game goes to a cut scene with Gordon yelling "Noooooo! Why no!" Then, the cut scene is over. GLaDOS continues to tell the player that he/she has to make it through all the Test Chambers to get to his/her next objective. The player will navigate once again through the full Portal game, but this time as Gordon Freeman. In an interview with Valve's Lead Level Designer, Matt T. Wood he stated "We wanted the players to go through an environment that felt similar but had some new twists and turns to it." Once the player reaches the end, GLaDOS congratulates the player and then announces that he/she will be working with a team of trained killers and demolition experts. GLaDOS takes Gordon outside and introduces him to all 9 classes from Team Fortress 2. GLaDOS states “I am GLaDOS and Helen (The Announcer/administrator)!” All characters gasp. (This is why Ellen McLain is the voice actor for both characters). From there on it’s an action packed fight against striders and combine as you have the choice to play as all 9 classes originally in Team Fortress 2 and now a 10th class. The 10th class will be Gordon Freeman.
