For a while now, Valve has been releasing comics on its own websites in order to promote games like Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2. If, however, you'd rather read them on the can or in bed, this November, you'll be able to.
Dark Horse Comics will soon be releasing Valve Presents: The Sacrifice and other Steam-Powered Stories, a collection of Valve's comics bound in a single 304-page collection. Headlined by Left 4 Dead's The Sacrifice, it'll also include the company's Portal and Team Fortress 2 comics as well.
The book will cost $30, and go on sale on November 16. You can see its full cover art below.

Insta-buy
Seems interesting.
As long as it's just a collection of the already made comics and not comics by Dark Horse then it's a definite buy for me.
Oh god, not Dark Horse. They're the ones who made this:
Can't wait to see Chell drawn with huge tits, and the Heavy with even more disproportionately muscular arms.
Bad reading much?
I've already had the l4d comics for a while now, my mother used to work at a printing company.
Can't find where it is though for the life of me
Just noticed Chell's right buttcheek. Damn.
I swear if I buy this and they make another TF2 comic I will SCREAM
Valve made comic books are the first step.
Full blown official novels expanding the game's storylines are next, I'm calling it now.
(RATE ME OPTIMISTIC :v:)
Paying money for something that is free elsewhere?

First thing I noticed.
If there are several comics drawn by makani, I would buy it without any second thought

The artist who did Meet the Director, the Engineer comic, and the artwork mods for TF2 (also the Summer sales banners)
Chell has a nice ass
I really hope they'll change the cover into something more stylish... not copy and pasted together but a nice painted cover. Won't stop me from buying it though.
Should be titled, "New VALVe Comic book! | Now featuring Cocktease."
HWG looks derp. Bill looks creepy. Chell's ass.
A must buy.
That picture of Chell was from a piece of concept art for the cover.

I hope they release the comic in other languages.

Yep, I'm getting this.
Hope there's some new ones in there. Not that I don't like the other ones, I just want more.

Makani didn't do Meet the Director, that was several artists, Makani was the inker. I'm fairly certain they didn't do the summer sales either.
one of the few non-sexualized females in video games
Portal 1's Chell was not sexualized. However, Portal 2's Chell, who may as well be a completely different character as far as her looks go, was obviously and quite blatantly sexualized.

Need this. NOW. :v:
Awesome. I'll buy it for sure.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and disagree with you there. Just because she's attractive and wearing a tanktop does not mean she is blatantly sexualized nor sexualized at all. More attractive, yes.
But it's just like when making films and commercials. You want the stars to be attractive and nice looking. It grabs the viewer's eye and makes it easier to look at. You don't want some deformed face with blemishes all over it as the main character.
Unless of course there are work-arounds and exceptions, like Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dome. Quasimodo isn't very easy on the eye but has a very inspiring personality. However Valve can't pull that off in Portal 2 because the main character is a mute and shows very little personality. So when that fails, they might as well just make the character look attractive.
Valve clearly did not think of that in the making of Portal 1 and the feedback received on Chell opened their eyes on that cause (and hopefully L4D2's Rochelle was a helpful hint on that very cause.)

Explain to me, how she was sexualized?
Curses. Would buy it if it had anything unique in it.
Wow. They broke the holy rule of Valve: They oversexualized Chell :U
