Not sure where to put it, since it's game related. But what they've done is revolutionary. Unlimited polygons.
I have been following this a year ago, I thought they were gone forever. Nice to see that, today, they have come back with content.
How is this possible? I want a playable demo.
Sounds AMAZING. Imagine the physics capabilities with each atom modelled.....wow.
Sounds AMAZING. Imagine the physics capabilities with each atom modelled.....wow.
That was theoretical, they meant that you COULD make a model down to the level of it's atoms, but I don't think anyone has the patience for that.
Until they release a demo, I'm skeptical.
I remember this from a while ago. Good to see they haven't abandoned the tech
It's computer killing time!
It's not possible
Yeh, also saw this some time ago. I still wonder if anyone is really going to use it.
The funny thing is, this will be on PC first. Console fanboys will suffer.
lol
Graphic card manufacturs are going* to have these guys assassinated.
I call bullshit, they've just spent a year making incredibly high poly models and making an animation that cons you into thinking it's all rendered in realtime. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I can't help but be skeptical.
What the fuck? this is fucken black magic, fucken amazing. This makes UDK look really dull atm, I would love if they released the tools publicly. Also doesn't this take away a lot of a 3D Modelers job? when the Devs can just scan a majority of the items. I wonder what graphic card companies think of this, when they can get unlimited detail without strain on the system
This is amazing! Did I apprehend that correctly this technology will run on any machine just fine?
If this is so good as they say why isn't some huge company like intel picking it up? "All we need is a little little bit of your money in order to change the world and give you a huge return on your investment."
how the fuck does this work I'm not saying this is fake but it does seem too good to be true. WTB live tech demo.
I don't understand how they made this. It's beautiful.
I wish they would explain how they managed to get billions of atoms onto a screen without any problems.
unbelievable, but why is he screaming into the microphone?
unbelievable, but why is he screaming into the microphone?
He's australian, apparently.
unbelievable, but why is he screaming into the microphone?

He's australian, apparently.
its arny
To all the naysayers, just put aside your skepticism for once and imagine the sheer possibilities. I don't doubt this is a reality at all, and I'll be laughing like a mad scientist when I'm playing in a game using it.
its arny
Is that a name or a language?
I will stare at the separate particles of dirt and giggle like a schoolgirl who just got her first dildo.
I want to know the specs of the PC that is giving them 20+fps with these 'atoms'
It's not possible
We said that about a lot of things before :v:
I want to know the specs of the PC that is giving them 20+fps with these 'atoms'
Did you see them lag at the footage of other games?
I want to know the specs of the PC that is giving them 20+fps with these 'atoms'
somehow bodged two six core hyperthreaded i7's onto a dual xeon motherboard with 6 pci-e x16 slots running 6 6990's
how the fuck would this be animated in a real game? yea you can render these atoms, but imagine the power required to move them
