I have no idea if this is the right place for this, but here goes. First of all, I can play Garry's Mod fine. But whenever I launch games such as GoldenEye Source, Action Half Life 2 and 1187: Episode One, etc (mods downloaded not on steam) it appears to load, but then the error 'hl2.exe has stopped working'. Any help will be appreciated...
(No screens load up, it stays on the desktop)
They might be broken with the recent Steampipe update. [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/0/828938532638150996/"]This page[/URL] may help but you'll have to modify the gameinfo.txt files in the mods. These mods are probably trying to mount the old GCF content files rather than the new VPK files which probably is causing them to crash. If all else fails, contact the mod developers.
that page wont help with all of the mods, only with the listed there, and it only worked on linux.
as far as we know, we are stuck here like idiots waiting for a patch, to make things worse, the "Steam validation rejected" is not letting me play Hidden.
