If you can get around some clunky controls there is a p. fun game.
It even has Neil Patrick Harris in it.

One of my all time favorites. The perfect blend of vehicular FPS and RTS. I still play this every now and again with my friends.
Do yourself a favor and play this game.

Ahh, yes.
BZII is a great game with a decent story too.
In the same vein of FPS/RTS hybrid, I reccomend

Very fun, I've played through the entire game like 5 times, and yet it never gets old.
Then play the Metropolis Dawn expansion pack for this, and it's like 2 whole new games. I just wish that it wasn't so hard, though.

Another great game, this time in the vein of X-COM and Jagged Alliance, is Silent Storm, and the sequel, Silent Storm: Sentinels.
To get an idea of how awesome it is, go to www.youtube.com/jefmajor and look at his Silent Storm playlists.
BZ2 is fun except for when your units disobey you and attack the enemy stronghold and get demolished

I want to register another 1,000 accounts and agree your post with them all. This game is brilliant.
Plus if you ever get tired of the vanilla gameplay there is actually a great number of quality mods for it!
FUCKING CONSTRUCTORS!!! I just remembered how painful it was to expand my base because they take so long to get around
[editline]20th August 2011[/editline]

You could snipe enemy pilots out of their vehicles and order them to haul them over to a training facility where they'd get manned.

Game is awesome from what I've played of it before. I wish I didn't have such a ridiculous backlog. This game is very fun.

People said it was average, but I got it and started playing it and I fell in love with it.
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames got ripped on so much by the critics but imo on the ps3 it was the best sandbox game i played that year. It's too bad they shut off the pc servers otherwise i'd be playing it with a friend.

The Fall: Last days of gaia.
Kind of like Fallout 1 & 2 made by a german studio in 2004, It wasn't really known to many people but It's a fantastic game. The website was taken down a year ago or so but the game has a lot of weapons and different characters and companions
The games theme song made by a band called Darkseed

I'm not sure if the game was ever released with english audio but I know it was either released with english text or translated by a fan because I finished the game with english text.
I don't think you can find this game to buy on the net anywhere than a site from taiwan i found, not sure if reliable or not (http://www.interwise.com.tw/showroom/view.php?C=5190715)
Otherwise you'll either have to get it by other means or look in a local gamestore for old games.
The company released a patch for the game later that contained 2gb of new textures and other enchancements,
They announced "The fall 2: Mutant city" in 2006 but as far as I know, it never got released.
According to the developers website there was a mobile version released but I can't find it.
The game got good feedback from reviewers scoring 75% up to 84% (More than most games today)
Some screens;

Technically underrated only because it's so unknown and mostly a cult classic. Most of the people who have actually played it will agree that Planescape is one of, if not the, greatest RPG ever made. An interesting and unique universe combined with a gripping storyline and narrative that is unrivaled. Characters have complexity and depth that not many other RPGs can match, and mind, these are optional characters. Conversations flow in a realistic human way, with options to tell the truth/lie. No option comes without meaning.
The one weakness of the game would be that the combat is poor. If you want to truly enjoy Planescape, you need to be able to enjoy older games (like Baldurs Gate, Fallout 1, etc), and be down for actually reading the gripping story.
Did I mention it has amazing music?

Red Baron II/3D

The vanilla game was loads of fun. Mods like Von Tom's Campaign Manager and total conversions like Full Canvas Jacket made it probably the most enjoyable combat flight sim ever created up to Rise of Flight. Even now, 14 years after it was released, people still play it.
