Alliance of Valiant Arms, commonly abbreviated as A.V.A, is a tactical MMOFPS available for free on steam and powered by the powerful Unreal 3 engine and published by ijji. The game is set during a fictional war between the European Union and the Neo Russian Federation. This modern online warfare with its magnificent sound system, intensely vivid graphics, unexpected turn of events, high-explosive bombings and violent attacks, realistic movements of characters pulls gamers into the virtual world transforming their surroundings, making them feel as if they are standing right in the middle of the combat zone, looking up to the sky where bullets are raining overhead The game is fueled by its micro transactions in game that are now all handled by Steam. Yet unlike many other F2P shooters A.V.A. is not pay to win. Almost all weapons and attachments are available for purchase with the in-game currency earned by winning matches, getting kills, and advancing in rank. The rank system works similar to the COD series in that as you play you progress through 50 ranks earning EXP for winning matches. Weapons and attachments require a specific rank before they are available to use. -Weapons Weapons can be customized for a variety of accessories that can be purchased from the store of the game, things like PEQ-2 systems, silencers , brackets and scopes . However, not all weapons can be equipped with certain accessories. Mufflers can be used in submachine guns , and some pistols . Assault rifles and submachine guns can equipiar telescopic view if they use lasers and Picatinny rails. Weapons need to be converted to use rail system for a low cost. Snipers can have a view with a higher level of approach. New accessories, and various types of equipment are added during updates every month. -Classes - Rifleman; Universal soldier for all kinds of operations. Can join in under any battle status. This class is more than capable for all types combats. Can employ wide range of variable strategies. - Pointman; Highly mobile class specialized for close range assaults. Very effective when attacking enemy troops from behind or when scouting. - Sniper; Capable of effective attack in far distance. Suitable for defending certain area or supporting main attack force with covering fire. -Game Modes Annihilation: eighty to one hundred and eighty points, is essentially a team deathmatch . The NRF U.S. and compete for more deaths before the time or point limit is reached, the winner is defined by who has the most points at the end of the round. Demolition: six to eight rounds, in this way the U.S. should plant a C4 bomb in one of the two designated sites before time runs out. The NRF should defend these places. Again the two teams can be eliminated to win, but if the EU NRF plant the bomb should disable it so they can win. Convoy: six to eight rounds, a nuclear suitcase is maintained by the NRF on the map, the EU must find and bring back to their base before time runs out, teams can also be removed to win. Escort: two rounds, the EU protects a tank moving across the map while the NRF should be used RPG stored around the map to stop the tank. The tank must reach the end of the map before time runs out. Throughout the map there are checkpoints where the EU appears when the tanks arrived at them. A shot of a tank RPG slower makes two stops him. Once the tank has been detained, the U.S. can repair it and keep moving. At the end of the first round, players cambiadan side and side. Free For All: thirty to ninety deaths, this mode was added in mid-February 2008. This is the kind of game where the objective is to kill anyone until the number of deaths is reached. There are health packs scattered across the map that will improve health, but no armor. This game mode was presented with two modified maps for FFA. PP-2000 submachine gun was delivered so well. Now available for the Korean version only. Suppression: five to fifteen rounds, a group of four players from the U.S. to survive a wave of computer-controlled NRF soldiers who throw ammo and health when they die. The human players have a limited number of lives each round. Domination: a round, the EU and NRF teams must capture the command center located in the middle of the map and control it for some time to win. Survival, a group of four players from the U.S., has only one life to kill as possible to computer-controlled enemies. Throw enemies ammo or health when they die and gradually improve as time progresses. Escape: The U.S. team must kill a certain number of prisoners. Then proceed to the exit door that is underground, while on the road battling a large number of prisoners. Then unlock multiple doors and plant a C4 bomb. Cross steal: the teams have to run to the enemy base to collect the kits containing a circuit and run back to their base to end the mission, are 5 and the team that gets to 5 missions completed will be the winner. Its fast paced gameplay feels almost like a cross between Quake 3 Arena and Call of Duty. With a massive amount of unlocks available you feel there is always something to look forward to. The game also strays from the norm with unique game modes like suppression, (like Halo Reach's fire fight), Survival (L4D Zombie Survival), and Escort where you must protect and deliver a tank across the map. For a free game I highly suggest you at least give it a try as it stands its able ground against triple A titles. This was my first megathread! I hope I did alright. In my opinion this one does it right and is very fun to play!

why does everything have to be modern why cant we have nice cold-war things
The trailer on the steam page looked horrendous looked like a bad Counter Strike ripoff is all I saw
But never judge a book by it's cover, time to try it out
I like this game because unlike other f2p Korean FPSs it's not pay to win and you can get most all of the gear and guns permanently with in-game cash. Gameplay and graphics are solid for a free game and I've had a blast with it since I downloaded it yesterday. My two big gripes about it though are that 1. Sights and scopes on assault weapons are practically useless since it's almost always close combat and hipfiring is just as accurate 2. A lot of the map designs are pretty crappy where two teams just move towards the other's spawn area across two or three chokepoints (free for all maps are pretty good though) Other than that though it's worth checking out for a free game.
why does everything have to be modern why cant we have nice cold-war things
Well, I guess it's because they want players to have alot of stuff to choose from. Darn, the game is not avaible in Russia. That's bad. Trying to download it through the url.
"an iji.com account is required to play this game" what the fuck is this bullshit
why does everything have to be modern why cant we have nice cold-war things
It's Korean and they don't know original. They take popular online games and make tons of free to play clones of it. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline]
"an iji.com account is required to play this game" what the fuck is this bullshit
I just used an email I use for spam to register and it hasn't bothered me since
Just a 5 second registry and you can play immediately apparently

This is taking years to launch
combat arms ava warrock crossfire karma sudden attack it goes on
I've tried a couple of those and I agree they suck for multiple reasons but this one actually shows some class in gameplay and graphics and it doesn't hound you to buy things with real money. Surprisingly balanced between people who buy credits and people who play for free also unlike those others you named.
Okay, some questions before I try this: On average, how much money do you make from playing a single round? And, how much does an average gun or attachment cost? When you buy a gun or attachment, is it permanent, or is it a rental? Do guns need to be "repaired"? How much money does it cost to repair a gun once after each round? In general, what are the money sinks? Can an average player actually earn enough money to buy what they want eventually, and not waste it all on "repairs" and renewing gun rentals?
This is taking years to launch
Once the splash screen shows the game launches within 30 seconds. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline]
Okay, some questions before I try this: On average, how much money do you make from playing a single round? Not sure per round but you complete objectives and rank up. Ranking up gives you 10,000 cash. A permanent gun is 50k. Other objectives give you around 1k. 2. Yes they need to be "repaired" but that only costs around 30 after a round. 3. Yes completely. I played for under 2 hours and already got a new point man class gun with tons of attachments. It just takes a while to get to a high enough rank to use some guns! Enjoy! [editline]15th June 2011[/editline]
Just a 5 second registry and you can play immediately apparently
Yep, its real simple! Dont get turned off by the fact you have to register. If you are just playing deathmatch or annihilation where the goal is to just kill the maps are yes, very straightforward. However if you play ones with objectives they are a lot better. And I agree about scopes and sights on rifles. They are only useful on semi-automatic guns or for a very long shot.
Pretty much all this game was when I played it is hey, look at this gun that does one more damage, or hey, look at this gun that has slightly better accuracy! And then when I tried to buy a new gun it just quit back to the shop menu. EDIT: Let alone the playerbase. Some servers never fill up and get filled up with lemmings (bots) and even if a server is filled up you always see a hacker that can tell exactly where you are behind that box infront of him. In other words, It is a hunk of shit that never should have came out of Korea.

Some are more suited for close range while other work great in long range engagements. Rate of fire, stability, accuracy, damage, and more stats vary with each gun and the store works fine for me. Why don't you give it another try?
Why don't I give it another try? Haha, no. The fact that I only got 1K credits from getting 50 kills in a annihilator match (out of 250 total kills to win the match for the team) is bullshit because with that amount of money I would never get that stupid new gun or item they are waving infront of my face without being a no-life who plays this game 24/7.

And even still you start out with 40k which a good fraction of the permanent guns are under and they're all balanced fairly well so you can still play competitively without always buying a new gun.
Heh, found out that I can still log-in with my old Ijji account that I made to play Soldier Front. Man, that game was great before they ruined it.
why does everything have to be modern why cant we have nice cold-war things
Indeed, I want World War 2, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Korea and so on.
HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG Those textures
What does it mean when some of the weapons in the shop have the word "EASY" next to them?
Lol, I used to play this, got boring quick but the escort mode was quite fun.
I play this from time to time. It's pretty fun but can be frustrating and shitty at times. Give Genesis AD a try, it's basically the same but in the future with cloaking and jump-packs.
Why the hell isn't it available worldwide?
