Any and all questions and discussions about classic games that don't already have a Megathread!
Don't mind the weak OP, best I could do in 10 minutes.
To anyone who is good at banners and stuff, I request some help with the OP since I have no image editing program, and should this thread be closed and there be a v2 I encourage someone else take the OP. I'm no good at this stuff, I just wanted to get it started heh.

This thread goes out to those who had the privilage to play the greatest games to ever exist. Any game that is classic (10+ years old) is welcome to be discussed here. Got a cool collection of retro games? Tell us how proud you are to be playing ET for the Atari or the original Super Mario for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Tell us your favourites, some hidden gems most might not know about, or even some of the worst games to be concieved.

As for me I have been forced to restart my classic collection due to some stupidity on my own end when I was younger. But so far I've gotten my Sega Genesis back, a Nintendo 64, a Gamecube, and although it's not very retro I got a new Xbox Original as well.
I'll be getting a NES and SNES soon I imagine now that I've found a store close by that has everything I'm looking for. The Number 1 game on my list of must buys is Starcraft 64, but it's so hard to find I might be forced to get something else instead while I continue looking for it. (I refuse to do online shopping, I don't trust 'em.)
So who here on Facepunch has a Nintendo 64 with an expansion pack? Is it by Nintendo or is it a brand new third party? I just learned they have new third party ones going around and was wondering if they are better or worse than the originals?
I would just like to say that Super Mario 64 is my favorite game of all time.

Also, in my opinion, the N64 Bomberman games were very underrated.
Okay, can anyone help me? I remember playing a game on my N64 (I think) when I was very young, like 6 or 7. You were a lizard/gecko/chameleon or something, and you had to go on clouds, and there was one level where you had to jump from chandelier to chandelier in a huge hall with checkered floor and a table with food.

Probably one of the Gex games.

I'm probably wrong, but was it Gex: Enter the Gecko?
This reminded me of when I got my Parents old Commadore 64 from when we went through our garage 5 years ago. I have to dig that thing out again and play some Little Computer People,

Or Flight Simulator 2 my dad played with an Atari 2600 controller.

On second thought, NOT Fs2.

YES! Thanks so much, that was it. Also thanks to Ungoy!
I loved this game.
Halo 3 :v:
Battlezone (Not the original, the remake)

I played this game from the day I learned to use a keyboard, to the day I upgraded to a rig that could no longer support it. It literally shaped my childhood. Shit was so awesome.
Any PC Flight sim from 1995 onwards, as well as Wing Commander IV, all had the same effect.

That game looks pretty sick. Almost reminds me of Mechanized Assault & Exploration. The cutscenes anyway.

Gameplay is actually quite similar to that, albeit with worse graphics and less.....well.......dramatic.
Mortal Kombat 3(GEN), Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, Starcraft 64, Captain Skyhawk (NES), Dynowarz(NES), Airwolf(NES), Wizards & Warriors(NES), Super Sprint(NES) are all now MINE!!!!
I just came back from two different Game Cycle stores and MAN was I surprised that one had Starcraft 64. Hell they had two!

I've been thinking of getting an SNES, and I already got a few games I'd want to get. Super Turrican, Super Metroid, Contra 3, Mortal Kombat 3, Zelda: A Link to the Past, maybe a few Mario games. I managed to find a decent SNES on eBay too, just gotta wait a few days before I can snipe it. It's a shame not many Facepunchers are into the old school.
Also, I got an old Atari but it isn't that fun to play, except for the two-player games.
