It seem's to me that almost only Scandinavian people and people from countries like Poland and Czech Republic play 1.6 these days.
It's after all the second most played game on Steam but people here only seem to play the remake on the Source engine.
Is there someone here who actually plays 1.6 and competes in it? (In cups and tournaments)
CS:CZ, because I am hipster.
[sp]Not really, but I prefer Source.[/sp]
Source since I don't own 1.6.
I own 1.6 and play sometimes.
Both
I don't own 1.6 either.
Actually, CS:S is what brought me to Steam. It was the very first game I owned, and it will always be a favourite.
I've bought CS:CZ for 2 euros during the summer camp sale and I've found it quite good, maybe better than Source.
I bought 1.6 because my buddies had it since it came out, played it ever since.
the only active 1.6 players are competitive players in cal or esea
Both. Sometimes I feel like getting killed over and over again by super pro elites on 1.6 and other times I feel like playing Source.
The fuck is wrong with your grammar in the title?
Condition Zero is my favorite but after the Splak community moved on to other games I just couldn't find a good server to play on.. I still play 1.6 when I can get a server, which usually ends up being Moncton CS or Cause4alarm. I've been in love with Nippermaps for years. Source isn't that bad in my opinion but it just doesn't give me the warm feeling that 1.6 does.

How does I grammar?
The fuck is wrong with your grammar in the title?
Sorry about my grammar, nothing you have to point out.
the only active 1.6 players are competitive players in cal or esea
Depends actually. There's alot of active Swedish Counter-Strike communities that has numbers of public servers.
I've never seen any competitions for CS:S. People seem to play it because they wan't to kill some time and have a little fun.
I think that the people who plays 1.6 is more interested in competeing in cups and tournaments to win prices.

Cal has been dead for like 2 years, but ESEA is still going strong for 1.6 AND source. I highly recommend it. www.esea.net
I never play CS1.6 after seeing all the servers are just bots or just fucked in the ass with plugins.
I own just about every game valve has published (and is on steam) Except for ricochet and Day of defeat (not source)
cs 1.6 is one of the games I will every now and then install, play like an hour or so, and uninstall.
Source because a bunch of stuff in Gmod requires Counter Strike.
I play source because I live in 2011, not 2000.
I play source because I live in 2011, not 2000.
So you never watch old movies or play any old games at all? Because you live in 2011.

Games =/= Books =/= Movies
I go back, and play once in a long while... So many years spent on Counter Strike 1.6, and Day of Defeat.
I don't play cs anymore.
The earliest was CS 1.5, shortly after Steam came along with the "highly anticipated" CS 1.6 with tactical shields and shit :v:
I play now and then. Most people that play are cheaters and pirates now, though.

I thought that was Deleted Scenes or whatever.
I thought that was Deleted Scenes or whatever.
Deleted Scenes is the canned single player development of Condition Zero, released for free. Riot shields were brought in with CS 1.6 and the launch of Steam (Sept. 2003)
Kids in my region play Counter Strike Online, and buy weapons using real money.
I play CS 1.6 Now and then, just to remember the days of cowering in corners with shields.
