I am pleased to announce my newest mapping competition called GravityGunVille.
I have created a special page that explains the theme and all the rules:

This competition will be judged by three professional level designers, so not only do you have a chance to win $100 but you'll also get your map briefly critiqued by people who know what they are talking about!

I might have overlooked it, but can we use custom assets we make? Rule 5 talks about content from other mods but I don't see anything about assets the mapper makes himself (it was probably implied, just making sure).

Yes, you can use any personally made custom assets you want, although that in itself won't mean you have more chance of winning.
Maybe this'll help get me back into mapping, I've had no inspiration lately.
Hmm, I'm not sure yet, because I have been working on a map, but it is crappy, and I'm no good at mapping. But, it is for fun so maybe I can give it a try.
Edit: Damn, I saw the map was for Half Life 2.
