This is a currently unreleased mod that apparently allows people with sub-par computers to run GTA IV with a moderately good framerate. Set to be released in Sept. 13, and looking very promising so far.

This mod aims to improve the frame rate the game low-end computers, the goal is to not only become playable, but it makes it pretty well. Not necessarily adesktop, thinking I could play GTA IV on my Sony Vaio UX with GMA 4500MHD video card (3 ~ 11 fps) in the first game is already testing the currently running at 25fpson top of this board!
But of course, do not want to leave the game with ugly graphics worse than GTA San Andreas, while performance is gained, it has good graphics too.

Soon I'll post more details and prints of various configurations.
Recently purchased a HP 331 Netbook, Intel Atom 1.6Ghz, 2GB DDR3, Nvidia and ION (9400M), GTA4 is running at low settings put at 20 ~ 25 FPS!
More than likely all this does is force shaders to super low-spec for all configurations. Probably nothing new.
I'm getting overly excited at these types of mods, as insignificant as they are, just because I'm anchored to this laptop until I can save up money for a new desktop.
I need this.
Can't run the damn thing on a 5770!
let's hope this one will be for MW2 too
So this is Xbox 360 graphics mod? XD
Netbook GTA IV with 20-25 FPS?
Thats really cool, I am tied to my Intel Atom netbook now
But what about physics, wouldn't Euphoria lag on low end's?
oh god that video is awful

Granted, it's a guy with a shit PC recording with Fraps. Video description says he gets 20-25 FPS without recording, and 7-10 while recording.

is this mod compatible with iCEnhancer?

Your post is inside the entire quoted OP.
So it's a mod that just turns down all the settings?
is this mod compatible with iCEnhancer?
Generally you don't use a mod that makes the graphics worse with a mod that makes them better
This is awesome, I'm gonna have to try this when it comes out.
Wow 20fps really isn't that good
it's better than 10
That video made me feel dizzy when the camera moved. I couldn't play it like that
it's better than 2
It was released
Can't test because of the lack of dvd drive in my netbook
I just use command line with dx9 command, works like a charm afterwards.
