Sorry to rant but I hate trolls I am so tired of trolls. Trolls on Gmod. Trolls on YouTube. Trolls on Facepunch. They just make me mad. They even make YouTube videos to celebrate there trolling. I mean look at what happened to this poor girl in this link. [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8XJVbm-toA[/url] It just makes me sick. She did not do any thing to deserve this. And then the trolls post links on Facepunch to advertise the rage video. It just makes me sick. Again sorry to rant.

I have a guaranteed foolproof plan to deal with internet trolls.
Turn off your computer.
You know, there's a very easy way to stop the effects of trolling. Several, in fact.
1. Get off the internet and do something else.
2. Don't take video games/internet that seriously
3. Several interfaces like Youtube and Source games have muting, ignoring, blocking etc. that can prevent communications from specific connections. Use them.
If it's a continuous harassment from multiple fronts by like, an organized group then I can understand that. Thing is Gmod griefers just grief one server or person for like a few hours until they have had their fun or enough material. Changing servers or even your Steam name or taking a break usually fixes this quickly.
As for Youtube and Facepunch "trolls", you should never take obvious troll videos seriously and the comments are pretty much always mindlessly stupid. To get frustrated by that is just a waste of energy. FP, while it has a bit of shitflinging every once in a while, does have mods that ban obvious flamers rather quickly. If not, the thread regulars in megathreads for example group pressure the person themselves. For example the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. megathread is practically autonomous, I don't recall anyone being banned in there for ages. If someone is "trolling" you there is a report button right there on the left and if there's "trolling" directed to something else how about just move on. Really, don't get so focused on what happens online.
However I digress, this isn't GGD material anymore. Maybe this should be moved to Fast Threads.
