[release]How would combat change if you could foresee the future? If you could prevent your past mistakes from ever happening? What if your enemy could too?Achron is the first and only game to feature single-player and multiplayer free-form time travel. It is the world's first meta-time strategy game, a real-time strategy game where players and units can jump to and play at different times simultaneously and independently. You can undo your mistakes, change your strategy after committing to it, preview the future, freeze time to perfectly coordinate attacks, and send entire fleets through time to when they are needed. However, all of your opponents will also be independently moving across time, attempting to rewrite history in their favor...[/release] Available on Steam for $29.99 (Regular $34.99) and includes the soundtrack for free (Regular $4.99) [release]Achron includes: The full story-driven single player game spread over four campaigns and 35 levels Multiplayer levels All the mod tools, access to level submissions and submitted mods Access to tournaments and community artwork submissions Achron system requirements: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, or 7; an ATI or Nvidia graphic card from within the last 3 years A dual core processor; 1 GB of RAM; 1 GB of free hard drive space. Demo?
Unfortunately there isn't any which is a very dumb thing to do for a game with such a risky gameplay mechanic. Best I can suggest is check youtube for let's plays. ADDED VIDEO TO OP
I'm a little confused as to how the time travel system works, but it looks pretty fun.
Woah it is released, I was sure it died long time ago Really looking forward to play, but my wallet is not ready
Woah it is released, I was sure it died long time ago Really looking forward to play, but my wallet is not ready
Yea this game came out of no where. Last I heard any thing about it was probably a year or two ago.
£23 no thanks.
Wow, can't believe it's finally out, I had bought this for me and my friend last year for both of our birthdays. There was always an issue where their website wouldn't let me finish the download.
I am very interested in concept of multiplayer time travel And can't you just send a powerful unit into the past to destroy enemies HQ? In an interview long time ago they told that you can do it

The further back in time you go, the more energy it takes to issue commands, so you cannot micro-manage an army (or in some cases, even control them) that you send into the past. Additionally, it follows the "Time waves" model of time travel. If you were to go destroy the enemy HQ in the past, it'll take time before it is destroyed in the present; this reduces the amount of crazy game-breaking shit that you can do, and allows players to defend their past from enemies from the future.

I tried watching a let's play but it didn't make any fucking sense. [editline]4th September 2011[/editline] Mostly because they didn't explain anything.
Well I just played a short match (very laggy on my Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family card), but I have decided this game has a lot of potential. Things can change very easily in anyones favor. I just wish I could play it properly.
I feel this game has gotten little to no attention which it really should. The soundtrack itself is pretty amazing. I find out very atmospheric and it just sounds nice to listen to. Has anybody else picked this game up yet?
