I got the Quakecon Pack a couple days ago. At the time it seemed like a VERY great deal, but now that school is starting I might not be able to play as much, but I have insomnia so I can play it when I wake up at 2 in the morning.
Yesterday I began playing Rouge Warrior, the ultimate bad-ass stealth FPS from Bethesda. My first impression was what they called the different difficulties. Either, not quoted but somewhere along the lines of "If You're A Pussy, Pick This." then, "Bring It On, Motherfuckers." finally, "You Think You're Fucking Funny?" Yeah, this game is THAT bad-ass. Those difficulties got me all pumped up, but since I'm going to review it I picked the pussy one. The beginning cut scene was executed like any other cut scene. You drop from a helicopter next to some Koreans (or something), you shoot then, your teammates die and you go to finish the mission yourself. I noticed that the response time is slow, like, if you move to the left you can tell that it lags. I'm almost 100% that this isn't me lagging, but the game itself. I tried turning down the graphics a bit and restarting the game but still lag (If you still think it's me, I play Crysis 2 with Dx11 mod on Ultra High Graphics with ZERO lag.) The cover tactics are TERRIBLE, too. It's hard to explain why, it's just very bad. Also, this guy thinks he's to much of a bad-ass.
One genre this game has is stealth; that's complete bullshit. I can run right behind an enemy and kill him, like, my footsteps being all loud and stuff. 'Klonk, klonk, klonk', you would think the Asian man would turn around, but no, instead, he stands there waiting for his life to end by my ridiculously long, and brutal, kill by my blade. At least his buddy noticed something.
The controls are impossible to understand if you don't customize them. Really, who puts Right Mouse Button to throw grenades and Space to aim? It's like this game was created by Russians (It might have been.) The mouse sensitivity is WAYYYY to stubborn, if you turn it up one bar, nothing changes. If you turn it up one [I]more[/I] bar, it's super sensitive.
If you have $20 and can't find anything good, go ahead and grab this. If not, don't waste your money.

It was actually going to become released somewhere around 2005/2006, the publisher (Bethesda) delayed it completely.
Personally, it would be okay for a 2005 game.
