Shakes and Fidget is a browser-based MMO that mainly involves waiting for timers to run down in lieu of actually doing something. There are multiple servers available for the game, it doesn't really matter what server you pick as you can swap the language settings around, but it's best to pick one that suits you. To my immediate knowledge there are 3 US servers, a majority of the servers being German, as the game started out that way. Once you've decided on a server, you can make your own character and create your account. The first thing you'll want to do when you begin the game is to head to the Tavern, where you can do up to 100 minutes worth of questing every day (300 if you use mushrooms, but I'll get into that later). After getting a decent amount of gold, you can visit either the weapon or magic shops to purchase gear that's power is based on your level. There's also dungeons after level 10, guilds and what not, you can look at the game manual for more information. If you're interested in the game, you could always shoot me your email and let me invite you to the game, or you could visit www.sfgame.us and pick a server from there. I personally run a character on all three US servers, though I'm already in a guild on them all :v:. List of things you should do to not suck-

Do as much questing as the game allows every day
When you're out of TFA(Thirst For Adventure- the measurement of time you can quest) work(City Guard) for the remainder of the day

Try to do dungeons as early as possible, there's a list of the monsters in the dungeons on the forums

Make an attempt to find a guild as early as you can, or go ahead and form your own guild with fellow fper's(Again, I won't be able to help you with guilds, maybe on s1 though)
Fight in the arena and beat up inactive people, all you'll need to do is raise your stats a tad and you'll win

This is one of those browser games where you click something and then wait and then go back and do it again the next day. Its a pretty cool game, Ive played it.
Never seen this before looks decent.
Oh and I forgot to add in the op a follow up about the mushrooms... They're basically a pay-for-advantages type of deal, but you can get them from quests randomly.
It's like the Anti Idle game in a way. Pretty cool, I'll check it out.
Someone invite Pruney to a guild :(
Someone invite Pruney to a guild :(
I'd make a guild for FP, but like I said, I'm already in a guild that maxed their bonuses(which costs mushrooms).
Send all your gold to me please.
This is one of those browser games where you click something and then wait and then go back and do it again the next day. You should mention that in the OP.
Where do I get keys for a dungeon?
Where do I get keys for a dungeon?
At level 10 you can find the first key as a reward for a quest.
Shame the comic was taken down due to copyright issues.
I swear I saw it up somewhere, I just forgot where...
I was actually looking for it a few weeks ago, all I could find was that it was taken down due to copyright reasons, which I didn't understand because there's so many other comics like that.
Can you use cheat engine or anything on this game? To speed up the clock or give you mushrooms?
Can you use cheat engine or anything on this game? To speed up the clock or give you mushrooms?
Not as far as I know, but I haven't tried.
Level 10, invite me to a guild >:(
Level 10, invite me to a guild >:(
Just post on the forums, there's plenty of guilds looking for active members.
Whats the point of a guild in this game?
I'm not getting my confirmation email either, it's going to delete my account :( It's not even going to my junk folder. [editline]18th May 2011[/editline] http://www.sewers.dk/HeroesofWoW/ Heres the original comic for anyone looking for it. Question, I have double the constitution of a guy I'm fighting but he has like double my health. Why?
Whats the point of a guild in this game?
Guild provide bonuses to your EXP and Gold you earn from questing and working, you can see the amount of bonuses a guild has by looking at the guild page and checking their Instructor and Treasure levels. Why?
Level can make a difference, or he may have a PoEL on, which gives him a 25% health boost. Also, send a support ticket about the email if you're on server 3, it used to happen to me but they fixed it for yahoo mail, depends really.
I fixed the email problem by changing my email, which sent a "Your email has been changed letter" which also happened to have a confirmation code in it.
For those who don't check the SF forums, a patch was released yesterday that added the Sticker Album to the game. It gives an EXP boost based on how many stickers you have, which are just monsters/items you've found.
The fuck do I get a sticker album from.
The fuck do I get a sticker album from.
Magic shop, it's randomly sold there, I had to use a few mushrooms to get it. It costs 25 gold.
Oh, that was easy, got it on my first try.
Got a stamp book and I'm now in the "Daywasters" guild. It also means that my missions take 10 minutes+ now though.
Got a stamp book and I'm now in the "Daywasters" guild. You get 5-10-15-20 minute quests after around level 10 or so, so having a mount is important. Also the guild helps by giving you bonuses to exp and gold dependent on their level. You can check by looking at the guild page or hovering over the exp/gold rewards for a quest to see how much the bonuses are.
I don't care about the time reduction because I just play in the background. Unless it lowers the thirst for adventure used. Does it? I didn't think of that. [editline]22nd May 2011[/editline] Aw man it does, well I'll do that now and start using it tommorow.
What server do you play on and what's your character name?
