LSD is the weirdest game you've never heard of, basically. Essentially, what you have here is a sort of first-person adventure title where you move around and touch things. Typically (but not always), you'll start off in a house. From there, you can move and touch something - whether it be a door, a bookshelf, a window, or a gigantic face jutting out of a nearby wall. You are then transported to a new area where you, once again, touch something. Once you have moved around enough, the day ends, a block on a gigantic 'face' representing your progress is filled, and you have the option to save. However, it isn't as simple as that - whatever you've touched before will affect where you start, the colors you see, and the music that you hear. You may not even have the option to play on some days - instead, you'll see a few blocks of (Japanese) text, or a movie sequence of some sort (like the following) Everything starts off fairly normally, but as the game progresses, things start to become more and more nightmarish. And I gotta say... it's one of the creepiest things I've ever played through. This only came out in Japan (surprise), but there are ways for one to play this. I won't go into detail concerning such, but I'm sure you can guess. Just try to play this somehow... it's highly recommended for those who like their stuff extremely surreal and bizarre. PS: Also, the "tripping on LSD" joke concerning this game has been done many, many times.
Holy shit. I wanna try this.
Aaaawwweesoome. :D
wait...so you get a different level each time you play? eh... not to be evil or nothing but it looks kinda dull... :(
Looks pretty trippin'. Also, is this a free downloadable game, or is it retail?
It's from 1998 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LSD_(video_game)
Trippy dreams. :v:
Does it support lucid dreaming? :q:
wait...so you get a different level each time you play? eh... not to be evil or nothing but it looks kinda dull... :(
Well, sometimes you start in the same level. Sometimes you start in a different level altogether. Sometimes, you don't even get to play a level at all. It varies. It can get a bit repetitious, yes, but then dreams can also have a tendency to repeat themeselves, no?
Looks pretty trippin'. Also, is this a free downloadable game, or is it retail?
This was actually a game released on the PlayStation in Japan. The only way to get it is to either somehow snag a copy of the game (look for it on eBay, and good friggin' luck) or download an ISO and burn it/play it via emulator. It's well worth the time.
Wow, not for Pc, that's fucking stupid. if it were for PC, I'd definatly get it man
As above, download an ISO and use an emulator if you must. If your computer can handle Garry's Mod, it should be able to handle this. :eng101:
Does it support lucid dreaming? :q:
Well, you can touch just about everything in the game... :v:
I'd like to get my hands on a digital copy of this game...someone PM me if you're interested in helping me look, we could both work together *cough*emulator*cough*
I'm totally figuring out a way to play this.
Why is the kid cutting wieners?
I had this game on my PSP (horay for PSX emulation!) and it is one of if not the awesomest game to grace this world.
It was remade into a freeware pc game called soup. I forget the link, though. Great "game."
Here's my experience with the game: I messed around with it, the idea of the game in general is actually quite cool. It'd be nice to see someone take the idea and work on it (with a team of people) and see what they could make. It'd be cool to have a game where you took drugs and saw shit, the game's overall Idea is quite interesting... But this game is not very interactive, and it's graphics are nothing special either, perhaps in the future though it will prove to have some inspiration for companies or individuals.
first person adventure ON THE PLAYSTATION?! :excited:

Or at least a Garry's Mod game mode. Edit: Oh and someone said something about a PC remake found it. http://homepage1.nifty.com/cheap/untitled/
Why is the kid cutting wieners?
It's a metaphor that having children is the loss of your happiness and freedom.
Can someone post a download link? :yarr:
damn. Someone already posted it oh well. Look at the bottom for the word "soup" of that page Heres the pc version for the lazy bastards. http://yaruhara.moe-nifty.com/soup09.lzh
Downloading now. Can't wait to try this! You know soup is just a shorter, simpler version of LSD.
I tried soup and IMO, it's nothing like LSD was. Disappointed me. :( Oh well my psp copy is almost done downloading.
0:8, first vid. HOLY SHAT-CAKES!!!!
Is this dangerous in any way? I wonder.
Is this dangerous in any way? I wonder.
:downs: Yeah... you'll totally die and stuff if you play this videogame
Alright... what the fuck. I went around some girl always turned away form me so i left i went into a rave room (which was fun :v:) and then some text came up and it quit... ehh
If you want to explore a dream like world, how about Knytt Experiment?
That just looks weird and boring.
Man, this game is awesome. I'm running it from an emulator, and it works perfectly. So far the two defining moments are: 1. Ten seconds in, standing in the hotel trying to get used to the controls when this enormous fat guy crashes in and eats me 2. Exploring a happy rave zone and suddenly being transported into the dark city. Turning round, seeing about ten corpses hanging from a lamp post. Turning around and walking away, only to have a corpse appear on the lamp post in front of me, then cut itself down and come after me. I ran to the nearest wall and ended up in a foggy version of the landmark park with the Suit&Hat guy walking towards me. Possibly the scariest minute in gaming ever.
Soup sucks, just different rooms. I'll try to "virtually buy" the PS version and run it with emulator... also I'll look up for that "Knytt Experiment" If anyone want to try: http://nifflas.ni2.se/index.php?main=05Knytt_Experiment wow I like the idea of knytt dammit from where did you got the game? I can't find it anywhere
